I saw that ealier youth. Looks like they used too much starch on the shirt though! What a gimp, he's nothing special. Decent enough for league 1 but not really what you would call a top player. Otherwise he would have been knocking on the Championship's door by now, or at least one of the 'Hull - type' teams in league 1. I really think City have been too hasty to sign players, I'm not sure their signings are an improvement tbh.

Either that or it was the shirt Smithy was wearing when Tinman did a Piemonte on his ass. :?

Danny Coles is better, but since he fell out with Tinnion, he never got a look in

Tinnion thinks that Heywood will solve thier defensive problems in the air. What he has failed to notice is that whilst Heywood may win the ball it will go straight out or to a player on the opposing team. If he does manage to get it down to his feet....HOOF!

He's nearer to his summer job on Weston-Super-Mare beach.

I think this whole "and because the only offers for parkin to have come in as yet are unnacceptable, he must be staying" business is complete and utter bollocks. There are still 2months for clubs to bid for parkin and basically, now is not the time when players are bidded for - by mid July, the club will be filled with offers for Parkin, all of which are over the trigger clause and therefore it will be down to parkin to take his pick...

That's not what I said though.

yeh i know :soapy tit wank: i just wanted to make the point that people thinking we are going to hold on to parkin are not being realistic as he too will be joining this list of departed players.

I'm not so sure personally but then again I might just be deluding myself...

Does this trigger clause actually exist? Or is it a bit of a ploy by the club to get some higher bids in?

I think it does exist but not how most of us thought it did. We've all played too much Champ Man. I believe the deal is that he's allowed to speak to clubs who make a bid equalling a clause in his contract, but the club are not obliged to accept the bid and sell him.

So in other words it just prevents clubs from tapping him up, provided they have offered this fee. Seems a bit bollocks really, just allows Parkin to find out what he could get potentially if he were to leave at the end of his contract.

Unless of course there's a second, higher, trigger at which the club have to sell or agree to negotiate or something - I've heard of that being in some Premiership player's contract a couple of years ago, but annoyingly I can't remember which one. But even if there isn't, realistically given the poo we're in, if someone comes in with a half-decent offer for Parkin, do you really think they're going to get turned away? I'd have thought anyone offering 700k+ and they'd bite their arm off. I'm just hoping they don't sell for less than half a mill.

It was mentioned that somebody was willing to offer 700k but that hasn't happened to my knowledge.

Hopefully we will sell him for MUCH MORE than we have hoped for, or he will sign a new contract.

The latter would be nice, but that really is unlikely!

I think it's obviously a staged fake that photo. You can clearly see that the shirt is being suspended in the air despite there being no wind. Also, their shadows are pointing in the wrong direction compared with the sun.

I like Matt Heywood, met him a few times and always took the time to talk.  My Mrs spoke to him last night in The Spot and told him that he's joined her team (she pretends to support City to wind me up) and he said "what do you support them for?"  Them? That's "us" now Matty.

his interview pisses me off too. 'with city i can acheive my dreams' yep, sure you can....you played in the team that has beat them!? and outclassed them in the 3 encounters with them this season. im sure players must speek alot of crap most of the time and don't mean it?

Come on Johno, what else is he gonna say

"I'm looking forward to playing for a club that was outclassed by Swindon last season?"  That'll really impress the clubs supporters.  They are his new employers, he's obviously gonna big the club up.

That team doesn't exist any more. They are all leaving.

I'm not too bothered about him going, especially if he's a generous giving away goals to the opposition playing for the Sh1theads as he was for us.
