Blackley could possibly be following him from what I have heard.

I think this just a way to keep Luggy there longer really and blame someone other that Luggy for their shit performances this year. Then when Luggy is sacked in a months time they can say they tried to shuffle the pack!

Does rather sound like they're getting ready to ease Sturrock out - having a "head coach" appointed under you and your favoured "take them everywhere" coaching stuff get the push isn't the kind of thing you can see Sturrock volunteering for, unless it was forced on him as a last ditch effort to save his own position. And the quotes from the board seem to be talking about more general managery type things:

Quote
"Paul Sturrock is already charged with working to complete the review of all aspects of the football side of the club."

"He will now be supported in this work by Paul Mariner."
Sounds like a man being eased out to me

Did anyone see Seip's goal for Blackpool against Muff at the weekend?

Just gone on loan and his first game he scores and slagged Sturrock something silly and said  he would never play for him again.

Days look numbered for Luggy...

Certainly sounds like they are looking to move sturrock sideways, surely a manager should have the choice of his own coaching staff
