Title: Matchday Ticket Reductions with Category Banding Post by: lambourn red on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, 12:40:41 I had not noticed anyone else posting about this apologies if they have but the article on the Official site has gone from the homepage.
http://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/page/HomeTickets/0,,10341~1823646,00.html I think it is a great promotion and shows that the new Board are trying to address the poor attendances hopefully the club will advertise it big time. I'm all for it, I love a bit of casual racism I do. Title: Re: Matchday Ticket Reductions with Category Banding Post by: timmyg on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, 16:42:05 So for the Town End tickets on the day are:
Grade A fixtures: £16 (Leeds) Grade B fixtures: £14 (Hartlepool, Orient, Brighton) Grade C fixtures: £12 (Huddersfield) Sounds good to me, and makes my not getting a season ticket all the more worthwhile. Says this is only up to December, though, and doesn't have the Yeovil game listed. Presumably that's because they haven't decided on the "grading" of the subsequent matches yet? Title: Re: Matchday Ticket Reductions with Category Banding Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, 16:48:07 They are bloody good prices to be fair. And let's be honest there won't be many catergory A games bar Leeds, Norwich and Charlton and possibly Rovers.
Title: Re: Matchday Ticket Reductions with Category Banding Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, 16:49:40 Of course one flip side is that some people will want to save their money for catergory A Leeds game so won't bother going to many of the others.

True but people could now be atracted to see more Grade C games than they usually would because of the price reduction Title: Re: Matchday Ticket Reductions with Category Banding Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, 16:52:39 True but people could now be atracted to see more Grade C games than they usually would because of the price reduction Let's hope so. Huddersfield isn't a bad choice for a catergory C game either. They have a good team and are a place below us so could be a tasty match. Title: Re: Matchday Ticket Reductions with Category Banding Post by: grubby on Thursday, October 15, 2009, 08:49:37 With these ticket reductions why didn't they just make the season ticket price for the TownEnd £100 cheaper at the start.
Title: Re: Matchday Ticket Reductions with Category Banding Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, October 15, 2009, 09:31:33 Probably a commercial decision, if they were £100 cheaper more people would chose to get a season ticket there rather than the Arkells/Don Rogers. Which means missing out on more revenue.
The Town End is used by a lot of casual fans or people who can't make it to a lot/all games so I'd imagine the club thought before the start of the season they would see how attendances were doing before implementing something like this. If the Town End was full they'd have to reduce prices in the other stands and given the better views they'd be getting premium seats for a cut price. I'm sure that would lead to some disgruntled fans.
