Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Maidenhead Red on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 08:24:26 Yep I am. Just paid for mine. No idea why it has to be this early though. Properly struggled typing in my reference number! Still quite drunk from yesterday!

Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Dazzza on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 08:32:29 Did anyone get a confirmation page?
I fired the card details in but didn't get a confirmation. Says that a deposit has been paid against our reference numbers so nowt much else we can do but wait. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: michael on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 08:39:50 Dazzza, I have exactly the same.
The confirmation email normally takes a few hours so for now I will go back to bed and check again later. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: my-velocity on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 08:46:32 Just got an email, check yours!

Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: nochee on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 15:19:24 Has everyone on here got their confirmation emails yet?
Seetickets.com says that deposits have been paid for my tickets but i have no email confirming and the cash is still in my account. Suppose i just wait? Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Maidenhead Red on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 16:03:53 Yeah i've got mine. Says the deposit has been charged and will appear on my statement as "EVENTS TICKETS" and that the remainder of the balance needs to be paid by February
Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Dazzza on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 17:38:52 Just come through now. I managed to fuck the lead name up so it's come up the wrong name against the cardholder but I'll give em a bell tomorrow to sort it.
Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: michael on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 17:49:07 Mine was eventually confirmed, just in case anyone was wondering.
Daft Punk please. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: oxford_fan on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 19:11:19 Bob Dylan is a rumour. Ja bitte.
Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: nochee on Sunday, October 4, 2009, 20:32:47 Still no confirmation email. The money is still in my account. But the web site says i have paid my deposit?
Still waiting then :( Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Dazzza on Monday, October 5, 2009, 11:46:44 Looks like payment is pending on my acc anyone else had the cash taken yet? Saves me a job calling them and changing lead names if it is coming out regardless.
I heard a snifter that they will be featuring some of the greatest headliners from years gone including some of the original bands. As the Kinks we’re supposed to headline the original Glasto but cried off ill I just wonder if they’ll be on for a reunion. I saw Ray Davies last year in the Acoustic tent and I wasn’t expecting much but it was one of the best sets I have ever seen. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Doore on Monday, October 5, 2009, 11:47:49 Out of interest, who did headline the first glastonbury?
Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Doore on Monday, October 5, 2009, 11:49:17 Out of interest, who did headline the first glastonbury? To answer my own question, T-Rex (still called Tyrannosaurus Rex at that point). Talking to yourself is great - I'm really good company. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, October 5, 2009, 11:50:36 My missus' dad went to the first Pilton Pop Festival... I think he went because Pete Townshend did an acoustic set but I know that Stackridge were the first band to play the festival and the organisers gave out some free milk.
Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: super.jm on Thursday, October 15, 2009, 13:09:25 We have another confirmed artist for the Glastonbury 2010 line up. It comes in the form of Andy Williams. 81 and from the USA, Andy has announced to the world that he was asked by Michael Eavis to play at the Glastonbury 2010 music festival. A packed audience at Cheltenham Literature Festival cheered when he told them that he’d been booked.
:) Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Dazzza on Thursday, October 15, 2009, 14:13:50 I saw that and was chuffed Jim. He was great on Jools Holland last week and a legend in his own right.
Absolutely perfect for a chilled out sunny Sunday afternoon on the Pyramid Stage. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Thursday, October 15, 2009, 14:16:55 sunny?? ;)

Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Dazzza on Thursday, October 15, 2009, 16:55:08 i thought he sounded awful on jools holland. people will be so wasted it wont matter at glasto I'm tone deaf anyway so I'm sure it'll sound great full of dirty red wine and cider. I hope it's sunny but I know you shouldn't complaint but it was to hot this year. The sun was so bright in the morning it was impossible to sleep off the excesses of the day before. Like waking up in a sauna of your own sweat. Aside from the one night it rained and I woke up in a small river as my tent was buggered. Like waking up in a sauna of your own sweat. Try Bennicasim! Its in a Spanish desert. You go to bed at 6am then wake up an hour later bathing in your own toxic sweat. Saw some good music, but never a-fucking-gain. I need a festival to go to this summer. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Dazzza on Monday, November 23, 2009, 17:54:44 Not keen on U2 one bit although there's usually plenty on as an alternative.
Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Monday, November 23, 2009, 18:23:26 You mean U2 actually agreed to play Glasto? I thought they didn't get enough money for that? Greedy pricks. Maybe they have realised their career is coming to an end?

Maybe they have realised their career is coming to an end? They think its a charity gig - someone told Bono that the local residents could no longer afford their M & S peppermint tea bags due the the recession. I think he went because Pete Townshend did an acoustic set but I know that Stackridge were the first band to play the festival and the organisers gave out some free milk. I went to that first Glastonbury, seem to remember it it as being in September though rather than a solstice thing..I'd been to the Shepton Mallet one and the Isle of Wight, and so developed a taste for this sort of drug fuelled madness. It wasn't anywhere near as good as the other two, but being reasonably near worth having a look. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Nomoreheroes on Thursday, February 18, 2010, 15:47:39 So all of you lucky buggers who have tickets will get to see the finest band on the planet. The following is from 'The Rat's Lair':
18 February And they said it would never happen!Glastonbury 2010: The Stranglers are playing at Glastonbury. Despite many years of rumours about feuds between the band and organisers, we can confirm they will be appearing at Britain's best known festival in Pilton on Friday 25th June. Unfortunately, the festival is already totally sold out but the band is following a Glastonbury tradition and will be playing a low-key warm up in the West country area the night before their appearance. Details of the low-key gig must remain under wraps for the time being but we will announce the details through the site as soon as we are able. This gig is happening to reward any disappointed fans in the area (and beyond) who are unable to get into Glastonbury. We'll bring you the ticket link as soon as we have it. We also hope that for those of us unable to attend the festival, the BBC treats us to some great live footage of the band over the course of the weekend. Stay tuned for other high-profile gig news coming in the next few days... Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Phil_S on Thursday, February 18, 2010, 15:50:14 Ha result

Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Bennett on Friday, April 16, 2010, 06:27:38 Wank, isnt it! sadly noTitle: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: nochee on Friday, April 16, 2010, 06:35:14 I disagree. This will be the first festival that i have been to where i have not had tough decisions to make on what band to watch on different stages. Snoop dog (if he gets a visa) is the only act that is getting me excited. Stevie wonder will be fantastic when im there, i know that but he is hardly someone that would of been on my wish list.
I think its the weakest Glasto line-up for years and for a 40th birthday- a real let down. Of course this is my opinion, everyone has their own. The 5 days will be a right laugh anyway due to beer, drugs, getting off with random birds and having a laugh with the boys but......still a weak musical line-up. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, April 16, 2010, 07:06:51 I think its the weakest Glasto line-up for years and for a 40th birthday- a real let down. Of course this is my opinion, everyone has their own. I s'pose it depends what your in to. Main stage line-ups are pretty "meh", but there's plenty of good lesser-known acts to be found on the other stages. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: LucienSanchez on Friday, April 16, 2010, 07:51:15 Nothing will beat last year for me... Lineup is a tad poor considering it's meant to be a big anniversary, but there is enough music and to keep me entertained, and so much going on over the whole site that I'm sure it'll still be a great week!
Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Phil_S on Friday, April 16, 2010, 09:16:24 Nothing will beat last year for me... Lineup is a tad poor considering it's meant to be a big anniversary, but there is enough music and to keep me entertained, and so much going on over the whole site that I'm sure it'll still be a great week! I'll agree with that. Still, the more I go, the less time I spend watching the main acts.I can't help thinking that they must have SOMETHING special lined up for the 40th. Maybe a surprise that will only emerge at the festival. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: oxford_fan on Friday, April 16, 2010, 11:14:56 i don't think i'll go to glastonbury again but the line-up looks a lot better than the last couple of years. as others say, virtually nothing on the main stages but some great acts spread over the three days on the smaller stages. also good to see some dance music back (though there's still no drum and bass - they used to have a couple of top DJs in the mix, andy c, high contrast, etc.) in the shape of toddla t and co - they seemed to have completely removed it from the schedules until now.
Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Dazzza on Friday, April 16, 2010, 12:18:56 Happy enough with that.
Again, I seem to spend less time watching the headliners and more time taking in the smaller stages. Ray Davies at the acoustic tent last year was a little bit special; even though we were parked right outside the tent it was a cracking. Set to a background of fireworks in the distance on a mild night. At the end of the set there was a ripple of Lola across the crowds as people toddled off. Again last year we randomly saw Phil Jupitus singing with the Blockheads. That was mental and it was fantastic to see the fat fuck genuinely thrilled to be belting out some of their classics. My last glastonbury was a bit of a mess. A bottle of Jamesons, me falling over in mud telling half the people trying to pick me up to fuck off, the other half that they were me bessie mate, a rather pissed off wife due to me apparently kneeling up in the tent and pissing out of the door in the night. Needless to say I haven't touched Jamesons since. Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Doore on Friday, April 16, 2010, 21:07:19 As I don't tend to go to festivals any more I usually look at the Glastonbury line up and feel a pang of envy for those going. This year I feel sorry for them, that is a terrible line up.
Title: Re: Glastonbury 2010 Tickets Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, April 16, 2010, 21:28:24 If Billy Shears says it's terrible then it must be the best line-up they've ever had! I wish I was going! (smiley face, smiley face (c) Ardiles 2010)
