If you were in his shoes would you? He has been told by us fans and no doubt managment that he is better off staying here and learning his trade rather than sitting on the bench at some prem league club now it appears he has to sit on our bench(fwiw rightly).

Morrison was on the bench on Saturday, and after his mess up against Walsall, he's still got a lot to learn from players like Greer.

I think he knows he'll be better in the longterm, just look what has happened to Jutkiewicz, and the contract extension, will hopefully be a formality.

Even so if that is case he will mainly be a sub this year as cuthbert in my opinion is better.Raises the point where would you rather be everton reserves or swindon reserves for example.

He is a lot closer to the first team here though - a knock to Cuthbert or Greer and he'll be in the first team, and as such he is still very much involved day-to-day.  This wouldn't be the case at a premier league club, where he would be miles from the first team.  Even on the bench here he is gaining much more experience.

He's still more likely to get a game here than else where

Cuthbert is certainly getting better each week, and Morrison has got a job on his hands to get in the team. Loved Cuthbert having a go at lescinal on sat after the goal as well. Everybody seems to get in an argument with him when we concede a goal.

I don't think Fitton will be stupid enough to let Morrison go for free. Besides he can't go for free anyway because he's only 18 so there will be a tribunal (abelt for less money) if he does go.

Really i thought if they had a full pro contract they could go where they like when theyre time is up is that not correct?   and he will be 19 by the end of the season i think

He can go anywhere he likes if he is out of contract but it won't be for free - a fee is still payable for players under 24 which is set by a tribunal if necessary.

He's not in the same league as the likes of Greer and Cuthbert, and never will be.

Best he could hope for is a purple patch, like Mathew Heywood had for us around 2001.

Let's face it, you could put together a 5 minute compilation of his mistakes. Swindon have invested in him, they have stuck with him when he's made mistakes. Other clubs higher up the pyramid wont do that.

He can leave and risk it all. He can stay and he'll probably make a living in league football until he's in his mid 30's.

He's 18! He's about 8 years away from his peak and he's already a pretty decent centre back! Alright he makes mistakes, but you learn from them. He'll be a very good player in the future.

You have to remember though that the majority of cunts who regularly post negative opinions about our players on this forum have never actually played the game competitively.

As well as regularly talking loudly out of their arseholes, they mostly form their opinions of the game and players based on wank radio and TV programs, not to mention endless hours perfecting stronger thumb muscles on their Playstations...

Morrison has a decent future in the game. Hopefully he'll develop here. If not, he'll do well wherever he ends up.

The wankers who diss him for making mistakes should hang their fucking heads. The lad is a raw, young, teenager and he's already head and fucking shoulders better than the likes of Ifil and Aljokefree.

He's alright and will probably have a solid career in or around league 1 but I think that will be just about his limit. He's not a ball playing centre back and his lack of pace and the fact he has a turning circle of an oil tanker will prevent him going on to anything much higher IMO.
He has a lot to learn still and needs to take some responsibility for his own mistakes at times as I've noticed on a number of occasions when he's dropped a clanger he's tried to have a go at someone else like he did at Walsall.

Yeah..think Greer is about ten light years ahead of him....hes got a great throw,can score goals....he gets caught at times sure but ime a big fan of his...think hes got a big future,with us hopefully.

Its easy to forget that Morrison is still only 18, which is really young for a centre back. For his age he's played quite a few games and shown a lot of maturity - give him a few seasons and he will keep getting better and better.

I reckon the same applies with JFL, he might be 22 but he's only played about 30 games in total and this is the highest level he has ever played at. He needs to be given some time to develop as well.

I get the feeling JFL is one of these players that thinks the worlds against him...seems to get in alot of scrapes with his team mates and opposition alike...not always a bad thing though.

Towards the end of the Wycombe game I thought he looked like he couldn't cope with it emotionally, like he'd been playing beyond his level and couldn't keep it up. A bit like wanking, no matter how much you enjoy it after a while it gets to a point where you just can't carry on and have to give up.

I think Morrison has potential. Hopefully he'll get a bit gobbier (in a good way) as well, Cuthbert seems to have that side of things licked.

At least you can put Morrison in the team as a respectable development/cover player, unlike Yinka Casal. I think the only use for him would be to dress him up as a manatee and perform as a mascot. He probably would do it too.
