Title: Jerel Awful Post by: SwindonTartanArmy on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 14:34:13 Fans turning on the Beast at Aberdeen. Apparantly had a stinker the other night and shouted abuse at the crowd.
Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Arriba on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 14:39:16 twas inevitable
Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: land_of_bo on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 14:46:08 But it's hardly as if he's stepped up a level.
Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Arriba on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 14:48:21 more or less the same barring rangers and celtic=same old mistakes and dire distribution
Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: reeves4england on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 14:49:49 They were hailing him as the messiah when he was on trial!
For his sake I hope it works out. Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Peter Venkman on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 14:52:00 They were hailing him as the messiah when he was on trial! For his sake I hope it works out. I agree, I would love it to come good for the lad, but we all know his weaknesses and hope they dont show too often. Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: land_of_bo on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 14:58:21 My brother in law lives in Aberdeen and is a life long fan. I did laugh at him when they signed Jerel.
Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Arriba on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 14:59:53 the fact that their fans saw him as some high class player from a friendly, meant he had it all to do up there.
their expectation of him would never be achieved Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Doore on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 15:02:09 It seems strange, given his pedigree, that they expected big things at all really. I liked Jerel, but for their fans to think "this boy whose been at Swindon for a few years really looks the part" seems a bit daft really.

Looks like he wasn't the only ex Town player to come in for some stick that night. Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Summerof69 on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 15:14:53 They need a bit of reality check. Aberdeen are up to their eyes in debt, with very little money (they survive on free transfers), so what do they expect.

Aberdeen are up to their eyes in debt, with very little money (they survive on free transfers), so what do they expect. To be fair I don't think they expect to go out to teams from the division below in the cup. Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: tans on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 17:05:32 The temperature must be getting to him.
Poor Jerel, please come back Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Dr Pierre Chang on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 17:08:02 Quote As for Iffil, punting the ball up the channel is not positive, its a hopeful ball and he had lots of opportunities to play a safe pass to feet last night but instead chose to play the high ball. Mcghee primes himself on attacking football, surely this isnt that? Quote With regard to Iffil, i dont think he's good enough!!. He has no composure and just punts the ball up the park! Sounds familiar. Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Arnold.J.Rimmer on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 17:38:21 The temperature must be getting to him. Poor Jerel, please come back no thanks Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Weasel on Thursday, September 24, 2009, 18:44:04 What the frick does this mean?

Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Lumps on Friday, September 25, 2009, 19:12:57 Aberdeen fans are a right bunch of ungrateful cunts if they're on his back after one bad game in a who the fuck cares cup. They've kept 4 consecutive clean sheets since he's been there before that.
Twats Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Spencer_White on Saturday, September 26, 2009, 18:37:26 It was obvious their expectations of the beast were far too high.
It's not as if they had signed Gordon Greer or anything. Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: DV on Saturday, September 26, 2009, 18:41:49 clean sheet against Rangers today though.
no idea if Ifil played any part in that! Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Batch on Saturday, September 26, 2009, 19:14:33 Substituted after 40 something minutes IIRC. Presumably injured.
Not bad eh, from STFC 6000 crowd to playing in front of 47,000 Dons match report extract: Quote Miller won a free kick from Ifil ... before the same player won a cheap free kick from Ifil on the edge of the box ... A slip up from Ifil almost allowed Miller to score ... ... A minute later another blunder from Ifil gave Novo a chance, but again Langfield saved the day. Ifil limps off the field at IbroxThe Dons troubles grew as Ifil failed to recover from the challenge and had to be replaced by Duff Sounds like the injury may have been no bad thing. Not bad eh, from STFC 6000 crowd to playing in front of 47,000 Dons match report extract: Sounds like the injury may have been no bad thing. I have had the fortune/misfortune to have been working in Scotland all week. When I got to the hotel on Monday night went into room and as you do immediately switched telly - the Rangers/Aberdeen game highlights were on sportscene, the sound started before the picture and the first thing the commentator said was 'terrible mistake by Ifil'..... I had to smile, it bought back memories and made me feel right at home! Title: Re: Jerel Awful Post by: Ardiles on Thursday, October 1, 2009, 16:33:34 I was in the west of Scotland on the first day of the SPL season, and he got good reviews that day despite Aberdeen losing (to Celtic, I think). Sounds as if that was his last good game though. Shame. Hope he turns it around.
