Eduardo aint fuck all to do with me, he doesnt play for my team, hes not English and you cant even call Arsenal an English team as they dont play any Englishmen.

I echo jj's sentiments.  Eduardo and Arsenal have as much to do with me CSKA Moscow and the national team of Djibouti do.

I think they just realised the ban was stupid and not the best way to tackle the problem of players diving. I'm all for them cracking down on it, but the Eduardo ban was just plain dumb.

What would be the best way to stop players diving out of interest?

Cut off their legs ?

Not sure they do dive out of interest,   How about smearing dog shit all over the penalty area and allowing the 'keeper to wear some sort of bodysuit ?

Maybe take a leaf out of Cricket`s book?

In a one day game if a bowler bowls a no-ball, the batsman gets a free hit....

If a player dives, the other team gets a free foul. Kick him as hard as you like, the next foul on him doesnt count.

This may well stop players from diving, but the beauty of the idea is that it wont matter if it doesnt. It will make diving popular! Imagine the fun if an opposition player dives, you can spend the next few minutes waiting to see some proper retribution.

Of course, last season Mr Cox might have missed half the games with broken legs, but still it could be a price worth paying!

I think highlighting it on TV does the trick. I don't think Eduardo will probably get a penalty given for him this season, as they ref will think 'Is he diving or not?'

A two game ban is good with me, but it needs to be applied evenly and fairly. I'd take the decision away from the ref, so no more bookings for a dive. Then review any footage afterwards and hand out the bands where necessary.

Hopefully UEFA will sit down and carefully think about what they are going to do about diving before the start of next season, and apply the rules to everyone.

Instead of acting like an Albanian magistrates court.
