Worth a punt. Surely one of them have to work out eventually.

Am I right in thinking that if we do decide to take a punt on him, we can sign him outside of the transfer window?

No idea if he is still attached to Poole or not. We could get him on loan though.

I think there is a 90%+ chance he could be the next Charlie Griffin. But worth a look all the same.

The transfer windows don't apply to non-league clubs. I assume that means they can sign players, not sure about them selling players to league clubs though.

He is classed as unattached if he hasn't signed a contract. Free transfer.

I feel we should take more time looking at minor leagues, every league has at least one player who is worthy of a professional contract.

Peter Osgood and Ian Wright were plucked from non-league footie, Wright from a lower level than Poole.

Trevor Senior was playing at a lower level than Poole when he was picked up by Pompey and went on to score over 170 league goals.

It's a long shot, but what's a weeks trial cost us? There's a slight chance that this guy could be a useful addition to the squad. AND FREE!!!

Was with Coxy at Reading...my cousin is treasurer of Brockenhurst who play in the same lge as Poole Town...Austin scored in both matches last season and when i last talked to him said to me that Bournemouth had already signed him...obviously not...worth a look and is still very young....UP THE BADGERS,who incidently beat Wooten Bassett in the FA cup last round and are at Bishops Cleeve on Saturday in the next round!
