Title: Podcasts Post by: Rich Pullen on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 15:26:51 I listen to a fair bit of BBC ones (football, film and comedy mostly) but can anyone recommend me any others? It takes me an hour to get to work and sometimes I prefer talking to music :)
Cheers. Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 15:54:19 I hope you listen to Adam and Joe as part of your BBC ones?
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: sonicyouth on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 15:59:21 Phill and Phil's Perfect Ten is one of my favourites. Depends if you like Phill Jupitus or not though
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Rich Pullen on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 16:12:41 I hope you listen to Adam and Joe as part of your BBC ones? Yeah, that's one I usually download. Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: yeo on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 19:30:51 The World Football Phone In from Radio 5s Up All Night is pretty good.
The Collins and Herrings Podcast from my sig is amusing. Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Rich Pullen on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 19:31:53 I'm a big fan of the World Football Phone-In.
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: yeo on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 19:35:15 I dont know if its available as a Podcast but Richard Bacon did live Stand Up at Edinbrough on Thursday, the stand up was rubbish but the radio show was brilliant.
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Spy on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 19:58:44 If you have any interest in rugby the weekly RFU podcast is alright. Altho they do use it to promote sevens and give news on developing nations which you might or might not give a shit about. I haven't listened to it sincee the Lions lost the series but will prob get back into it when the Autmn internationals are played.
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 20:13:48 I'm going to do a podcast. Can't be too hard.
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Spy on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 20:22:45 I would listen. Are you serious to any extent?
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 20:23:37 Dunno, I might give it a go. I'll probably give up if it's too hard to fill half an hour of empty noise.
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Spy on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 20:26:10 You would have to break up the chat with words. I don't think you could pull off 30mins of continuous chat by yourself.
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 20:31:22 It will be both informative and amusing. I have set myself a challenge for tomorrow. And if this challenge exceeds my expectations of difficulty then I shall give up, like I do with everything else.
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Rich Pullen on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 20:36:40 And if this challenge exceeds my expectations of difficulty then I shall give up, like I do with everything else. Get over your self... It's what we all do :) Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 20:48:36 Fuck off. I'm better at giving up than any of you will ever be.
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Rich Pullen on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 20:51:33 N'ah I denying you of your greatest accomplishment.

Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Saxondale on Monday, August 31, 2009, 18:39:50 Back to the subject, Andews Colins and Richard Herrings is very funny. Rambling bollocks but funny. Like the TEF. But funny.
Andy Zaltman and John Olivers Bugle is also very good. Only other ones I get regularly are radio 5's fighting talk mayo and kermodes film reviews and radio 4's friday night comedy. Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, August 31, 2009, 18:58:07 Cheers, I download the Kermode one. He wasn't on it this week and it's never as good. I hate Mayo though :)

Still decent though. Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: herthab on Monday, October 4, 2010, 17:56:33 I put my mind to being really good at giving up, but I just couldn't give it the dedication and effort it required.
I envy you Ben, you obviously have the staying power I sadly lack. Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, October 4, 2010, 18:27:40 Gone downhill a bit in the last year or so as their heads are starting to crawl up their own arses. Still decent though. I've started listening and they are very, very smug. They often get facts wrong which winds me up :) Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, October 4, 2010, 18:33:19 My routine podcasts are:
Kermode & May (I went to see this live and it was very funny to see how unorganised they are) Fighting Talk (Saw this live too. However, they VERY organised and put on a brilliant pre-show, show and post-show) World Football Phone-In The Danny Baker Show 7 Day Sunday with Chris Addison Non-League Football Show Football Ramble 6-0-6 For amusement only Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Bogus Dave on Monday, October 4, 2010, 18:50:58 I've started listening and they are very, very smug. They often get facts wrong which winds me up :) I don't care if they sound smug, i find them funny and there mannerisms amuse me :) If you haven't heard it try and find the kevin from fife e-mail. terrrific Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: yeo on Friday, November 18, 2011, 15:58:35 Time for a yearly bump.

Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Peterjordan86 on Friday, November 18, 2011, 16:54:03 I've always been a fan of the Ricky Gervais show, and lately I've been listening to the Jon Richardson show. All the talking from him and his comedy guests, minus the songs played from his radio show. You can find the files here;
http://www.archive.org/details/JonRichardsonPodcast Jimmy Carr and some others used to do a podcast called the Writers Room, although I'm not sure thats available on the iTunes store anymore, but you can get audio only versions of 8 out of 10 cats shows, always a good laugh! Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: A Gent Orange on Friday, November 18, 2011, 22:34:15 Since this topic has risen from the dead, I'll add a few new ones:
European Football Show - Heavyweight monthly - sort of a Blizzard podcast. 5 Live Monday Night Club Booted - Bloggers and podcasters get patronised by 'Chappers' while displaying far greater knowledge than the two hours of Claridge that precede it. We Are Going Up - people tell you what they've seen on the Football League Show. Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Freddies Ferret on Saturday, November 19, 2011, 22:51:02 i love podcasts- currently listening to "answer me this"
Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: jonny72 on Monday, December 5, 2011, 13:11:42 I don't normally do podcasts but I've been listening to the Infinite Monkey Cage recently.

Yeah The Nerdist stuff is pretty good. I'm pretty sure ol' Saxondale was babysitting Chris Hardwick when he was in London recently. Title: Re: Podcasts Post by: Saxondale on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 21:52:08 I was indeed. He was very good. Didnt know what to expect but when I saw an audience member turning up dressed as a weeping angel I kind of got the idea.
