Title: Yeovil Away
Post by: westcountry on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 10:28:15
Might see another good following to Yeovil this year, and the 12th man massive flag  :D

We best win this season, I don't think I can cope with another night in Yokel country with them mocking us.

Anyone know if this is going to be all ticket for us? It's got to be more entertaining than last year (please!).

I shall frequent The Arrow before the game too  :eatkf:

Not off to this personally. Think theres a decent chance of a win but if I was a betting man (and I am) I'd probably say it'll be a draw.

Wasn't all ticket last season, doubt it will be this season either.

Best to get a ticket before the game though, the ticket office is miles from the away end.

It's too close to last season for me...thoroughly depressing away day. Crap flat pack ground...crap flat back four...crap flat atmosphere...and crap lack of flat cider.  :(

I'm definitely not going this year.  Im fed up of the crappy little stadium and the crappy away support every time.  It was embarassing to take that many and make no sound (that wasn't because there was no roof, we just didnt sing).

I shall be staying in with Jeff Stelling instead.

Yeovil is one of the crappiest away days in the league.

Seeing as how close they are that is a pretty good achievement.

I expect Colchester is crap. But I'll never go there anyway.

You can get the train in 3 and a half hours, but reservations always give you an hour to cross london, it's only 9 stops.

I agree yeovil is usually a poor atmosphere, even though we take a good few down there all the time - and usually the games are very poor. That said I will still be there and I would expect about 1,000 to go this time.

<Public Service Information Mode ON>

Early warning for those travelling to Yeovil tomorrow and planning to use the M5 around Bristol. They have just started major roadworks over the Avonmouth Bridge (J18-J19), and being a Saturday, traffic is likely to be very heavy on the M5 southbound mid/late morning. From personal experience, give yourself an extra 30 minutes (at least).

The roadworks will be ongoing to the New Year, so will affect anyone travelling to Exeter on the 29th as well.

Quote from: Highways Agency
On the M5 southbound between junctions J18 and J19, expect delays of up to 20 mins at peak times due to roadworks closing three lanes, between 9:15 pm and 5 am, from 1 September 2009 to 5 September 2009.

You'd think that in 4 hours they could have sorted out some kind of net or matress to break the fall, thus rendering the suicide attempt pointless and allowing everybody to be on their way

I bloody hate time-wasters. I opine that anyone contemplating suicide should be warned that for every 10 minutes they dither, an unspecified proportion of their estate will be donated to Children in Need.

Still, I had to go slower in a couple of rainstorms this week. 35mph on the M4 was still a bit too quick probably.
