Title: sub(not used)

Cox again-we'll never get our 400 grand at this rate

Well, if it's based on West Brom going back up it doesn't matter.

But yeah, being behind a 17 year old probably wasn't what he had in mind.

Oh, I don't have a clue, it's probably a mix of both.

So West Brom now have Stefan Moore and a 17 year old up front, Craig Beattie next in the pecking order, perhaps West Brom will loan us Cox back for a few months?

It makes you wonder doesn't it! Reuben Reid is sitting on that bench too. WBA won't keep that line-up forever but I imagine Cox won't be happy sitting on that bench one bit.

Luke Moore, Stefan Moore is at the mighty Halesowen :)

Remember that he spent his first few games with us on the bench, got quite moody with Sturrock at the time if I recall and said something about knocking on the managers door.

A few people said we should get shot of him for his bad attitude.

A dramatic decline, sad really. Plus Halesowen isn't the happiest of clubs at the moment.

They've also got Roman Bednar, who's now free to play apparently, and Ishmael Miller returning from injury...so that'll be Coxy 6th choice then  :)

Shit, yeah so they have and I forgot about Rueben Reid. Surely they'll loan a couple of them out and most likely Cox I would have thought!

It certainly wouldn't hurt for Wilson to ask the question! There's no point in Coxy sitting on the bench every week - it won't do him any good and it won't do WBA any good

Huddersfield would be in  first.

Will have to wait at least until Jan if he is still not in the team then there may be a chance of him going out on loan or even being sold, be surprised if they was gonig to pay £1m for a player and leave him in the reserves though, although he wasn't really one of Di Matteo signing's really...although neither was the others come to that

There's no way he'll want to come back on loan here, it would be humiliating being loaned back to his old club a few months after a £1m+ transfer, tantamount to admitting the move hasn't worked out

Isn't there some odd rule about the number of clubs you can register with as well?  not sure if that would get in the way.  Doubt he'd be interested though, as Paul says, more so as it would be a bit of an admittance of not having gone well.  He may change that opinion if he's still not getting a game in January.

True. But being the arrogant git that Coxy is, nothing would surprise me in time. He thrives on playing, scoring and being at the centre of attention. STFC, until now, is the only club to have given him that and his current circumstances don't bode too well. He has friends here, is worshipped, and mummy & daddy live just up the road. What if the 'add-ons' (400k) were discounted at, say a rate of 10k per match ? Everyone would be happy and Coxy could return to WBA match fit at least !

There is a limit on the number of different clubs a player can be registered for during a season, I think it's 3. Pretty sure its a Fifa rule and that you can apply for special dispensation if there are grounds for it. There was a player last season it caused a problem for, to do with one of the big clubs - maybe Man Utd.

Going out on loan is different though as your registration stays with your original club.

Reading will offer him a loan before us i would imagine, their old head of youth is manager now so will know Coxy well

Why splash all that cash on him then never play him?

Beyond me.

It's hardly a shocking revelation is it? - New player from lower division doesn't walk straight into the team from the off but has to bide his time in order to prove himself.

WBA have the luxury of parachute payments and a set of fans who are used to Championship football and likely to support their team throughout it. £1.5m can't be that much to them.

£1.5 million is alot for any player who is gonna warm the bench.

He hasn't really been given a chance yet has he.

Not by top end CCC lower end Prem standards....it's a squad game Cox will get a chance at some point and has to take it...Luke Moore cost about twice the amount and is cackamundo.

We're only a few games into the season, it's not like he's been benched for several months is it?

It may also have something to do with his performances in pre season and training for all we know.

Reuben Reid's signing was surprising. I imagine he'll comfort himself with his bigger pay cheque :)

I see WBA are being linked with another striker......maybe Wilson is only getting in loan strikers now as he knows he will sign Cox back again in January when he is 4 choice striker
