Title: Shane Supple
Post by: Doore on Thursday, August 20, 2009, 22:29:02
Bit of an odd story, Ipswich keeper aged 22 quits because he wants a career change.  You don't often see that.

Great name.Sounds like a super hero  8)

Good on him,if football doesn't make him happy then he should find something else to do with his life.

Agreed - although if he ends up doing the 8.30-5 (where did the 9-5 thing come from?  lazy bastards) office thing like so many of us for the next 50 years he might look back and wonder...

If he then on to play The Doctor he's basically become Tom Baker.

He'll be back in football within a year (certainly within the Irish leagues)

Supple was decent keeper, I saw him as a teenager for Ipswich at Plymouth a few years back. The guy was probably bored senseless because he always seemed to be second fiddle whether it was Lewis Price, Neil Alexander or Richard Wright.

I vaguely remember a year or 2 ago there was another player that done this and then about a year 18 months later he was back in football
