Sometimes for whatever reasons you get "freak" results on the opening day of the season.
Norwich then go to Yeovil win convincingly 4 - 0 the team stays away in the West County,
for the game at Exeter on saturday (A winnable game).All of this after the Norwich board
allow Gunn to bring in loads of signings in the summer.If they had their doubts about him,
they should have replaced him when they were relegated.

Knew he'd be sacked although I thought it would be after their mauling on Saturday not after they just won 4-0. Norwich cleaerly have a replacement lined up.

Odd timing, was always going to happen this sesaon I thought, Norwich fans hated him for no reason other than he wasn't a name, but why give the guy 2 games into the season and allow him to sign players in the Summer? Fucking ridiculous.... Very bizarre timing.

Always thought Norwich to be a close knit sort of club who looked after their own. Yes they had a disastrous first result but that was a freak one off I'm sure.

Fuck me Gazza, that's a bit harsh.  I have many connections in East Anglia and let me assure you he was very much a favourite son, they loved the guy up there.  They are absolutely stunned and I hope for the supporters' sakes Norwich do have a big name lined up.  Why the hell did they give him a free rein in recruiting players, getting rid of players and then do this to him after two games.

Bryan Gunn was allowed to sign 13 players this summer including £250,000 for Tudur Jones - to sack him after one league game? Poor business decision.

Yes I was only joking about the pies. I went to Norwich a few years years ago & they were very nice people. a little family club just like us. I wish them very well along as they finish below us. I cant be fairer that that.

Just leaving for the CG, got a text to say that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is favourite for the Canaries' job.  It's a long name, not a big one!

I was amazed the bookies rated them so much. To be honest, I dont think Gunn was ever going to get them promoted.

In football you have to remmember that things can always get worse.

I'm a bit late on this one but it seems ridiculous.  One poor result (and yes, it was very, very poor) does not make a season, a team or a manager.  You could argue that its a carry on from last season but they made him permanent after that.  Chuck in the reaction he got from his players in midweek and you wonder what on earth the logic behind the decision is.

I see Paul Lambert of Colchester has been appointed, less than 10 days after his side caused Bryan Gunn to get fired...
