Title: pitch & putt Post by: sonicyouth on Monday, May 30, 2005, 00:16:11 Anyone know any golf courses around swindon/oxford where I can go and play pitch & putt? I've got a friend staying who loves golf but I'm too crap to play a proper round and driving range gets boring after a while. We went to Carswell today and got told we weren't allowed to use the practice area, cunts!

Or is it a take your own things? Dress code?We go loads, it's ace 8) Title: pitch & putt Post by: DMR on Monday, May 30, 2005, 00:27:09 Yeh you get a club (eg a 9 iron) and a putter for a 2 quid deposit that you'll get back if you don't break the clubs!
Take your own balls. Tees, scorecards and pencils are provided. Take your own clubs if you want, they don't care. Dress code, not at all, dead casusal. Jeans, tee shirts, trainers, hoodies, sandals, whatever 8) Title: pitch & putt Post by: Reg Smeeton on Monday, May 30, 2005, 00:28:38 There's also pitch and putt at Moredon considered more challenging than Coate and at Highworth....which is an interesting location if you like greensand scenery.

Title: pitch & putt Post by: Boeta on Monday, May 30, 2005, 22:43:14 We played pitch and putt in Newquay and it was ace. I was pretty shit at pitching but awesome at putting (all that work done on the Weymouth putting green next to the beech when I was younger 8)). I think I finished 3rd out of 12, which isn't bad considering about 5 of the lads actually play proper rounds of golf.
