Title: Walk On The Wild Side
Post by: Samdy Gray on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, 07:37:58
It's a new BBC programme starting this Saturday, basically an animal clip show with funny voiceovers.

I saw a clip last night and it's funny as fuck. I can't get on YouTube at work, but if you go on YouTube and search for 'bbc walk on the wildside alan' and watch the clip with the Lemmings I guarantee you will laugh.

So it's "Animals do the funniest things" basically? Why do the BBC constantly feel the need to follow ITV down the path of "throw any old cheap shite together just to pad out the schedules"? This is the whole point of them getting the license fee so they can make decent, original programmes - leave ITV, Channel 5 etc to do the cheapo clips/reality TV/bloody cooking cobbled together rubbish.

Although I'll probably end up watching it, just because the kids love this kind of thing.

It's probably great Paul, stop being such a misery guts. I hope it's up there with the likes of Looks Who's Talking and Look Who's Talking Too.

I simply cannot wait for such a literary masterpiece to reach these far away shores.

It is for ground-breaking material such as this that we pay our licence fee.

didn't this sort of thing happen in the 60/70's and was massively witty back then?

Without having seen the rest:

This thingy is somebody saying some words along with animals movements to make them look all cute, cuddly and funny. Whereas creature comforts is an example a superb creative mind combined with a talent in humour and wit.

Nick Park will be rolling in his grave, if he was dead.

Strangely, BBC Two seems to have Clive Anderson prestenting "Politicians do the Funniest Things" or something like that. I can't see it taking off, the catch is that people kinda like animals.
