If you take as a case in point Birmingham City last season- finished second in the Championship and were promoted- they score only 54 goals (about 1.1 per game) and their top scorer, Kevin Phillips had 14. The reason they went up is that they only conceded 37 goals.
In our own league, Colchester finished 12th with a winger (Yeates) as top scorer with 12, and Tranmere came 7th with Antony Kay top scorer with 11. It'd help to sign another Cox, no doubt, but lets not get carried away. Do you not think the extremely experienced manager we have is trying to bring strikers in? I suspect he may realise that we need strikers and is trying to get them in. Its not as easy as it is on FM09.
