Post by: juddie on Friday, July 3, 2009, 12:26:06
Am I right in saying he'd agreed to extend his stay with us, and then focked off to MKSchlongs?

Quote
'Hanlon himself told the Swindon Advertiser that he felt it was time to embrace a fresh opportunity and while his Town exit was tinged with disappointment, he was excited by the future.

The former Everton man said: "I think I was ready for a new challenge but I don't have a bad word to say about the club.

"I owe a lot to Andy King for taking me to Swindon and to all the staff who helped me during my time there.

"Being handed the captaincy meant a lot, especially as it came so unexpectedly. The highlight was the play-offs, the low being relegation last season. I just think Franchise feels like a big club in disguise and capable of doing a Swansea' if you like."

Marginally. We are still in the same league last time I looked.  They have a new ground and currently have a better squad. The latter is a blip.

Yup, Paul Ince's return confirmed.

Good luck to Ince..a dickie bird told me that he waived alot of the money Swindon owed him when we were in trouble...know hes minted but still a nice gesture if its the truth.

I think that's the reason he left soon after Power withdrew his backing. We simply couldn't afford him.

I'm surprised he's gone back to MK actually but hey ho.

When ever I play fifa and o'hanlon pops up on the other team, I go out of my way to crop the fucker. Usually injure him too.

That's probably not healthy, but I salute it.

I've started doing that to Robinson and Tudur Jones too... it's strangely satisfying.

Not wishing any harm on Theo Robinson, but he should be aware of the dreadful curse that afflicts all that give verbal agreements and then do not sign for Swindon Town.
