Title: Huddersfield Post by: wokinghamred on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 10:42:12 Does anyone know roughly what our wage budget is for the new season? Huddersfield's is supposedly £3.2m according to the new chairman (the greetings card magnate!) He does say that based on estimated crowds of 11,000 they will still be making a substantial loss. I just wondered how we compare. Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Samdy Gray on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 10:55:15 Somewhere around £2 million I believe.
Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 11:38:40 Don't forget most of their crowds are ST holders as their ST prices are cheap. That's why they'll make such a big loss this season.

That's why they'll make such a big loss this season. Not sure they are very cheap this year. Last year they had ST for £100. But pretty sure they are around our prices. Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 12:17:04 Not sure they are very cheap this year. Last year they had ST for £100. But pretty sure they are around our prices. It's £199 for the 3 other stands and £299 for the main stand I think. Or something like that. So on the whole still cheaper than a lot of teams in this league. I wonder what would(will) happen when he gets bored and takes his cash elsewhere... Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 14:09:14 Apparently he's a life long Huddersfield fan though Hertha. That must count for something right?

Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: STFC_Manc on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 14:28:43 Yeah. And Willie Carson was a Swindon fan... Yeah but I think this bloke has some money to throw at Huddersfield! Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: ron dodgers on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 21:59:09 for us and I'm just guessing
20 playing staff at an average of 2k per week is 2 million. Plus manager and assistant 300k the pair. Plus coaches, physio etc 300k. Plus admin - 50 FTE staff? Average of 5-600 per week total 30k per week 1 to 1.5 million pa. total about 3.5 to 4 million money in 4k at 279 about 1.2 million then say extra 2500 * 23 * 22 for non-season ticket = about 1.3 million that makes 2.5 million ticket revenue that's a deficit of 2 million without extra revenue, conferences, profit on players, shop sales sounds about right? I'd be hugely surprised if there were 50 full time staff.(non-playing) Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: RobertT on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 22:06:43 I think our wage bill fulctuates between £2m and £2.5m, from memories of looking through the accounts a year or so ago. I forget what Pizza I'm ordering these days mind.

Total Wage Bill = £3.9m - Playing / Coaching Staff # = 63 - Admin Staff # = 124 - Selling Staff # = 108 Sales (Turnover) Total = £3.78m, made up of: - Ticket & Match Day Revenue = £2.34m - Football Association / League = £0.65m - Commercial Activities = £0.57m - Other = £0.23m Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Samdy Gray on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 07:23:19 You can blame everything on silent migraines though, or use it as an excuse. :) Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Spencer_White on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 16:46:36 Isn't that bloke at Newcastle a life long toon fan though? Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: LucienSanchez on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 17:11:36 Yeah. And Willie Carson was a Swindon fan... I thought that wasn't strictly true, and he was actually a lifelong fan of Stirling Albion Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Spencer_White on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 17:52:47 To be fair, I had heard he was a Chelsea fan before all the rumours of him being a Spurs fan.
He just wanted a Premier League club. Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 19:17:50 Apparantly Robinson has failed his medical. Terrible shame
Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: michael on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 19:43:21 Oh that is a shame.
Fitts said in the paper that we are unhappy with Watford, is that because they accepted Huddersfield's bid as well? Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Spencer_White on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 19:48:22 Apparantly Robinson has failed his medical. Terrible shame Sounds a bit like Akinfukwit. Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: lambourn red on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 20:06:49 If You read some of their boards they are so deluded in this whole "galactico" thing that right up until today they were still posting about should be going for Cox not Robinson as well as Lambert and Kevin Phillips!!!!!. You can see clarke being under severe pressure if they loose the first few games
Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: suttonred on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 20:11:22 Could you imagine the thisis board, and here to an extent if we were in their position though? Reckon it would be far worse, and to be fair they've had it shit for as long as i can remember, must be due a good season with lots of expectation. Still think they'll balls it up though.
Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Spencer_White on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 20:18:03 I think they were very active last summer as well.

Title: Re: Huddersfield Post by: Saxondale on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 20:24:03 What, full of them selves, believe they are a big club and bang on about how we just dont understand being fans because they feel it so much more than us.
