Title: Leo "The Hat" memorial pool tourney
Post by: Fred Elliot on Saturday, June 13, 2009, 16:56:16
Unashamed plug I know ...............

For all the pool lovers on here, there is to be a memorial tournament on the 27th June starting at approx 10.00am at the 147 (I believe that this has just been refurbished to a really high standard).

Entry is £10.00 per person and there will be cash prizes.

All other monies raised with go to CLIC (Cancer and Leukemia in Children)

Please support if you can

Love

Fred

Correct the 147 is looking pretty good these days.

The hat used to play a lot of pool with my uncle down the Green Baize. He was a nice bloke.

I hope it turns out to be a succesful day and that a good amount of money is raised for a worthy cause.

Nice little club at 147. Don't go there too often though and my pool is awful at times.

If any of you are going along the time has changed. Registration has to be done by 11.30 and it starts at 12. I will be their all day and having a few drinks after to celebrate if anyone wants to join me (leefer)

Basically you break off and keep taking shots until you miss. The one with the most balls down without missing wins.

Saw an "In Memoriam" for Leo in the adver tonight, is it really three years since he died!  Where has that time gone?

Was a good day and a good turnout...got past the first round so may be seeded next year!
Seriously there was some very good players there, and six pints of John Smiths didnt help with my 2nd round match, could hardly rack the balls..hopefully a few quid raised for Leos charity.
