It's true, I have been known to 'bite'. Not recently though, I tend not to read the comments as I eventually realised that it wasn't worth the effort.

99% on there are total fuckwits and, going by their comments, a lot of them don't even appear to go to matches, just spout utter shite.

O/k My main argument is that by belittling other sites you do nothing to inspire discussion regarding stfc issues and will not attract new contributors to this site.

When I was sixteen I was advised that there was no money to be made as a footballer and that I should concentrate on my exams, yes that was a long time ago but it does seem strange when you see how much players are reported to earn now. (I realise that this might have been a strategy to let me down lightly and that I was just not good enough!!)

Everyone has the right to their opinions, but it does seem that the comments section of the adver is inhabited by people whose sole mission is to belittle our own players at every opportunity. Phil Smith is a perfect example. He went through a bad spell at the beginning of the season and was, rightly, criticised. Towards the end of the season he was excellent, did any of the adver contributors mention that? No, they continued to hound him.

There are very few reasoned, well thought out posts on that site, most of it is ignorant rantings by a small number of people. That's my opinion anyway, if you don't agree, fine.

Hill, is quite an interesting figure, in the development of football...he's seen as a bit of a prat these days, but when he's gone I'm sure his radicalism will be appreciated.
