Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: blinkpip on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, 21:53:09 Adver board is too slow. Not worth the effort.
Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: Doore on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, 21:53:41 I saw this too and thought the same. I do read thisis - its great for a laugh. The dregs of our fan base inhabit it.

Not recently though, I tend not to read the comments as I eventually realised that it wasn't worth the effort. 99% on there are total fuckwits and, going by their comments, a lot of them don't even appear to go to matches, just spout utter shite. Since I played football at a much higher level than you bozo's my opinions must be more valuable. All the STFC sites are going down the pan and should therefore be shut down!! Only the "Adver" prints the truth and is now my best friend. Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: herthab on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 13:31:06 What a load of self satisfied twats you are!! I don't post on thisis anymore just read the comments on all stfc sites. Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: flammableBen on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 13:43:25 It's true. DRS aka the KFC Family Bucket.
Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: gosport rob on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 13:44:37 O/k My main argument is that by belittling other sites you do nothing to inspire discussion regarding stfc issues and will not attract new contributors to this site.
When I was sixteen I was advised that there was no money to be made as a footballer and that I should concentrate on my exams, yes that was a long time ago but it does seem strange when you see how much players are reported to earn now. (I realise that this might have been a strategy to let me down lightly and that I was just not good enough!!) Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 13:46:49 Whats that got to do with cunts?
Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: flammableBen on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 13:49:45 Ahh but people only belittle the other sites because we already have lots of inspired discussion regarding stfc issues, the two things aren't exclusive of each other.
When I was sixteen I thought I'd be rich by my mid twenties, don't know why. Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: herthab on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 13:52:34 O/k My main argument is that by belittling other sites you do nothing to inspire discussion regarding stfc issues and will not attract new contributors to this site. (I realise that this might have been a strategy to let me down lightly and that I was just not good enough!!) Everyone has the right to their opinions, but it does seem that the comments section of the adver is inhabited by people whose sole mission is to belittle our own players at every opportunity. Phil Smith is a perfect example. He went through a bad spell at the beginning of the season and was, rightly, criticised. Towards the end of the season he was excellent, did any of the adver contributors mention that? No, they continued to hound him. There are very few reasoned, well thought out posts on that site, most of it is ignorant rantings by a small number of people. That's my opinion anyway, if you don't agree, fine. Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 14:00:26 So what level did you play at Romain

It was Jimmy Hill in 61, who as chairman of the PFA, organised the abolition of the minimum wage. Before then players could earn 20 quid tops. Hill, is quite an interesting figure, in the development of football...he's seen as a bit of a prat these days, but when he's gone I'm sure his radicalism will be appreciated. Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 16:52:33 Well if he is that old Anteater he should know better.

I have to say that he is one of the few people that if I met him out and about would happily go up to him and call him a cunt to his face, and I was willing missiles to hit him in his commentary box at the Stratton Bank (after a live game V Villa I think ?), maybe I should think again at least after he pegs it ? We know the real blame (or glory) lies with GWR, they were pushing selection packs in the car park before the game for the price of saying "It'll be a doddle for Hoddle". Title: Re: STFC Romain Post by: suttonred on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 21:38:46 Maltesers? Cant believe there were any left, and even if there were, wouldn't they have been soggy and left a mark?
