Title: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Monday, June 8, 2009, 18:01:11 What do you do next? Well in tranmeres case if reports are true you appoint John Barnes to replace the manager you have just sacked. Haha

From what I've heard though, Barnes will do the 'World in Motion' rap on request. Title: Re: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: Danjackson10 on Monday, June 8, 2009, 18:04:32 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgxrRWTM0o4
Tuuunnnnnneeee Title: Re: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: michael on Monday, June 8, 2009, 18:05:57 All I know is that if I was a player, I'd run through walls for 90 minutes every week if the boss spat out those ill lyrics before each game.
I'm going big on Tranmere to go up next season. Title: Re: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, June 8, 2009, 18:08:36 How on earth could "I come from Jamaica my name is John Bar-nes" beat the Anfield Rap? I'll tell you how - World in Motion :)
World in Motion is the Godfather Part II of Football rap. Title: Re: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: Doore on Monday, June 8, 2009, 18:18:33 It would be good to see a Barnes, Adams and Merson dream team in place. 1 relegation place already wrapped up.
Title: Re: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: Arch Stanton on Monday, June 8, 2009, 18:48:53 I see Jason McAteer is being lined up as his number two..... he never struck me as managerial/coaching material....
Title: Re: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, June 8, 2009, 18:50:07 He's been a coach at Tranmere already. I read that it was going to be McAteer and Mathias.
John Barnes seems like attempted suicide to me - and an influx of Jamaican internationals! Title: Re: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Monday, June 8, 2009, 19:02:50 I remember Brighton doing this with Wilkins a year ago actually. They went from 7th to strugglers the next season.
Title: Re: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: chalkies_shorts on Monday, June 8, 2009, 19:06:13 Good news. Soton and Stockport -10, Tranmere with Barnes - at least we've got a good headstart on 3 clubs.

Post by: Ardiles on Monday, June 8, 2009, 20:23:55 How on earth could "I come from Jamaica my name is John Bar-nes" beat the Anfield Rap? I'll tell you how - World in Motion :) World in Motion is the Godfather Part II of Football rap. Displaying my ignorance here I'm sure, but I've never been able to get in to the 1950s sections of the Godfather Part II. (The early 1900s piece is easy enough.) I know the critics rate it more highly than the original but, for me, it's the Godfather that I really love as a film. Michael Corleone and his journey from blue eyed army boy to Godfather is a brilliant story, beautifully told. And the Godfather Part III is an abomination. Title: Re: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: Spencer_White on Monday, June 8, 2009, 20:46:03 I think Godfather II is faster paced with a more involving story line. Which is why people rate it highly.
World in motion, brings a tear to the eye. Title: Re: So you finish 7th in the league. Post by: Rich Pullen on Monday, June 8, 2009, 21:39:03 I think Godfather II is faster paced with a more involving story line. Which is why people rate it highly. Agreed :D |
