Having a medical at the CG tomorrow, according to Radio Wiltshire!

Had a good game at the County Ground last season, but I'll mostly remember him for being lobbed by Brian Howard whilst he was still on the line. I've got a feeling he'll be no better or worse than Brezovan, but we'll see.

Good organiser, plenty of experience.  Will Smithy be prepared to stay and fight for a place now? 

I have to be honest in saying I know nothing about this player.  Is he any good/good signing do we think? Strengths/weaknesses? :D

Ditto, my Wednesday supporting brother-in-law really rates him...always thought he was destined for better things. I took this as an insult. Surely this move is the pinnacle of his career? - as Walter Sobchak would say 'Am I wrong?'

I hope so because I think its a fight he can win.

Chatting to a Leeds fan at the weekend and he spat his Fosters over me (no accounting for taste) when I mentioned we were looking at Douglas.  Apparently he had one good game last season (against us) and has been “abysmal at best” when he’s played.

I suspected he was on the wind-up but alas no he said he’d been useless and had let a few goals whistle over he his head this season.   

That said I don’t think we can moan given his experience and if Smifffy keeps on form he’ll make a decent number two if he is a bit number two himself.

Bit bulky .. bit injury prone .. in his defence he is a brave goalkeeper but to be honest no better than Brez or Smith

Same here - I text my Leeds fan mate to say we were possibly signing Lucas and the response I got was "Thats cheered me up today - coz he's shite"

Was he saying that when he was in goal against us last year....especially after his save from Cox kept them in it....i thaught Cureton was shite,but hes done all right since leaving us.... most Leeds fans think Beckford is shite,why...because hes leaving.

Leeds fans think all their players are shite though. Remember they should be in the champions league and not league one.

Good point. At that stage I think he was going on about how good it was to have two top class goalkeepers (as Lucas was keeping Ankergen out of the team). But I think he has made quite a few errors since then and hasn't been back in the team to prove himself.
I guess its a bit like what we would all think of Phil Smith if he hadn't recalled at all since he was dropped for his howlers earlier in the season.


Interesting to hear Fittons interview on the BBC site still talking about Bosnich though, and how he is welcome to come have a trial.

Can Lucas kick the bloody ball as we've not had a keeper that you could say was decent with the ball at his feet for ages. Brez was diabolical at kicking, and not much better with his fucking hands at times.

This was only a couple of weeks after we played Leeds at the CG.As to your question,let's hope he just had
an off day with his kicking,with Millwall's 3rd goal.

That was a terrible back pass, you can hardly blame the keepers kicking he won the 50/50 and no defender was there to clear it.

I enjoyed listening yesterday to Andrew Fitton's latest interview.He seemed very relaxed and his
