The old CG mudheap...interesting to note the fully packed Bank with a fair few Leeds fans in it. Before the days of segregation... The Charlton game was on MOTD, but not nationally, they experimented with games shown in the regions for a time. I believe the Beeb are showing some live Championship games next season...don't suppose they'll look much beyond Newcastle. It was only my second game at the CG and the first time i'd watched from the Town End. I was with my pal from next door and how we were ever allowed in i'll never know,we could barely see over the turnstiles when we went to pay! Does anybody remember the home game with Sunderland the following august, when the crossbar broke? It was a game featured on ATV's 'Star Soccer' and was also the commentary game on the BBC.
