I'd just like to say that I really quite like Morrissey. I was just trolling for a reaction and it failed.

To be fair that's a pretty big gig lined up for Swindon right there. I'm not a Morrisey fan at all though so i'll be giving it a miss.

Blimey, the memories.

I saw The Smiths at Goldiggers at the start of the Meat is Murder tour, when they were supported by an up and coming band called James.

I haven't really been a fan of Morrisey as a solo act, but it is good that the Oasis is attracting so many headline acts at the moment.

I've not really heard the Saturdays. Kasabian are a bit samey though, I have two of their albums and am not really fussed about going. When is it?

I also can't forgive Larwood for using the phrase we're probably get.

I tried to let it slide but I thought better of her ;)

Does he  still advertise his new track to download on your mobile with a ring-tone version at his gigs?

I’ll never forget that.  Started off fantastically on a wet grey day.  He had the crowd in the palm of his hand after the first couple of tracks only to start moaning how radio 1 won’t play his new single and to start advertising mid-set to text shortcode for a copy of his new single (including ring-tone version).  I know he’s supposed to be a melancholy sort of chap but it was surreal seeing him sulk like that and eventually he was drowned out by a chorus of boos.

I promptly left to watch the Ordinary Boys.  Now there was a real band.

Boys will be boys….

I think half the idea is she gets to torment one of her Uncles.

It'll probably be fun anyway.

Just bought some tickets. Will be a big week, Spandau Ballet on the Tuesday at O2 then Morrissey on the Saturday.

Would be good to have more decent acts in Swindon. Maybe a Swindon Arena as part of a CG redevelopment?

Unless SBC get a cut of the profits I can't see it happening.

No chance. The best we can hope for is a Uni, an annual festival like the Big Weekend or more gigs like this at The Oasis.

I was in Manchester last night.  Unfortunately I was working at the other side of town so didnt see mozza (working for the company who were promoting morrisey, so I could have got in.  Grr.)

In the academy 3 venue (I was working in academy 2) there was a smiths tribute band.  Called bugger me its the smiths or something like that (the smiths indeed I think).  Which was just quite odd.  I was in there watching a bloke dancing around like he was mozza in his prime, but its just not the same if hes not being adored.  He just looked, well, a bit silly!
