Why has he gone to some shitty dutch team to learn how they coach when in his own words we cant even train as much as they do anyway?

The former County Ground favourite spent three days at Eerste Divisie outfit FC Dordrecht in order to help him complete the second part of his Academy Manager’s Licence, as did Centre of Excellence director Jeremy Newton.

some of the coaching in our youth set up leaves alot to be desired.i cannot see any local lads making it unless radical changes are made

Totally agree arriba, but the kids need to be of a certain standard to start with.In an ideal world you would love to see local talent coming through, but if its not you have to get the best from elsewhere.Morrison,Tozer are examples, released by Plymouth, brought in by Byrne, sold for a good profit.

Morrison has not gone yet. Arriba i agree and its not just local players. Last year 10 youths signed pro deals and this year 4 although only 1 was bought through by bodin. From what i hear the production line could dry up soon

Your right DRS he hasnt, but its common knowledge that clubs are interested. With regard to the kids as you commented only Thompson has signed a new pro contract, the others have had their contracts extended.Next year will be interesting to see what the production is producing.

you need talented players, but you also need to get the best out of them.
