He even mentioned to me about how good 'Mike' Kitson was and how he would eventually become an England player.... twat.

Nah....we only had 11,000 for our first game in the Prem, Reading would have easily doubled that.

It would be if we too had a 'shiny' new stadium that people could visit! Its amazing how many people are still 'intimidated' by a trip to the County Ground.

I live in Windsor and the number of mates that were Man Utd, Arsenal & Chelsea (armchair) supporters 5/6 years ago, but have now started getting season tickets at Reading because they're doing alright is ridiculous.  I think I know 2 people that have been genuine supporters their whole life.

When I ask them why they go to watch Reading, the answer is usually, because it's just down the road and it's Premiership football - basically sums them up

That's why I think of them as particularly plastic - always thought of Reading as kind of Chelsea overflow, but then when they got to the Prem, all of a sudden there as all these "die hard" Reading fans crowding and pricing out the old faithfuls who'd stuck out years of shit at Elm Park. Division 3 next year is going to be interesting - and will get more press coverage than it has for some time.  Attendances will also be up.  Could be an exciting year.

Unfortunately, the presence of a clutch of larger clubs in the division will mean that fighting for a play off place will be all the harder, but still achievable.

Charlton - Unknows probably the only ones who may be able to mount a challenge

Of the remaiinng teams Leeds will probably be there or there abouts next season, and whoever loses play-off final but a lot of teams are having to cut their cloth so I suspect there will be a few next season that will end up as surpise packages, possibly Exeter until Tisdale get's poached.

I missed all the action this weekend - family stuff.  Just watched the highlights on ITV - pleased to see a good footballing side like Burnley make it.  As for the league 1 final, looked like a great game.  I was wondering after his first - why on earth couldn't Alexander do anything like that for us?  Is it the same man?  I was sure it was some kind of evil twin after he scored a second within two mins.  However, having just seen him miss an absolute sitter of a header from 5 yards, I instantly thought - "there's the Alexander we all know".  Seriously though, terrific goal.

Just about to see league 2 highlights - hoping for a Shrews win.
