(Somewhat off topic I know) Title: Re: Adver News: Players 'must show self discipline' Post by: Samdy Gray on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, 17:56:53 Basically, the proper way to do it is to take multiple photos of the same shot on different exposures, best done using a rigid tripod for capturing the exact same shot over and over. Then you take your RAW files for each exposure shot, use some computer wizadry and it generates an HDR.
Or you can do it by just using photoshop to adjust the brightness/contrast of a photo (i.e. artificially alter the exposure) and then use some computer wizadry to generate the HDR but with much worse results than doing it the right way. I know about it because I saw an ace shot on another forum I frequent and looked it up our of curiosity. You can use Photoshop, but there is some specialist software for processing HDR's (Photomatix I think). Trick is to use RAW files, which currently you can only generate with DSLR's and some top end compacts. Sometimes the effects look very unrealistic if overdone IMO.
