Title: Preseason Post by: SwindonTartanArmy on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 08:29:07 I love it. I know its not as good as the regular season (obviously) but I still love it. the rumours of new signings and the contstant accessing of the internet from dodgy foreign internet cafes to find out if we have signed anyone. Love it.

Love it. Don't you have internet in Scotland yet? Title: Re: Preseason Post by: SwindonTartanArmy on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 08:38:33 yeah, but its only dial up. We have to go to fancy foreign climes like Benidorm to get quality stuff like broadband.
Title: Re: Preseason Post by: Luci on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 08:53:05 Is Cardiff the only fixture we have lined up as yet?
A decent prem club or two would be nice and with our ambitious board who knows! Title: Re: Preseason Post by: Peter Venkman on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 09:04:36 A nice tour of the South/South West would be good, Dorset/Somerset/Devon like we used to do in the old days Weymouth, Dorchester, Bournemouth, Tiverton, Bideford etc etc.
As well as one big team at home from the Prem (Spurs maybe), one recently promoted to the Prem (Wolves or Brum) as well as the usual local teams, and maybe one or 2 games on tour abroad in the sun maybe. Title: Re: Preseason Post by: lambourn red on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 09:07:58 A nice visit to a close by non league side would be nice :D
Title: Re: Preseason Post by: Summerof69 on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 09:08:42 A trip to AFC Wimbledon wouldn't go amiss, now they are in the Conference.
Title: Re: Preseason Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 09:18:54 The tour of austria is happening again.
Title: Re: Preseason Post by: suttonred on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 09:48:40 I'm hoping Hampton for the 3rd year running, nice and local. Failing that yep wimbledon would be good.
Title: Re: Preseason Post by: Sussex on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 09:50:25 Crawley again please.
Title: Re: Preseason Post by: Batch on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 09:52:00 A nice visit to a close by non league side would be nice :D these are my favourite pre-season games.Title: Re: Preseason Post by: lambourn red on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 10:04:20 I was refering to one that has got 3 sides to their ground and views themselves as the Man Utd of the Non-League ;)
Title: Re: Preseason Post by: Batch on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 11:13:03 I was hoping for a better standard of non-league game than them. Ciren Town, Supermarine, Hungerford. One of those.
Title: Re: Preseason Post by: Luci on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 11:13:49 forest green is always a good one
Title: Re: Preseason Post by: Spencer_White on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 11:30:17 Scotland!!!

Clime? is that a hybred Clementine/Lime ?? Title: Re: Preseason Post by: herthab on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 11:41:26 Preseason's shit. No games, rumours that turn out complete bollocks and a slow build up of hope and optimism which, 99% of the time, turns out to be a false dawn.
(And yes, I'm a miserble git today) Title: Re: Preseason Post by: THE FLASH on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 11:45:12 Preseason's shit. (And yes, I'm a miserble git today) Yeah....when i saw Coxys goal against Fenerbasheeeerrr and our display against Pompey i was very confident......even raised my hopes further when we pissed all over Tranmere. To be fair though these games are normal for most team in pre-season to play local teams, it is usually a reserve / youth team that is sent anyway as a warm up game for them |
