Time for Pat to go I'm afraid. Assuming he is out of contract.

That article says he is out of contract.

Guess it depends on how bad the injury is but I'd like to see him stay. Offering him and Corr new contracts isn't a bad idea provided they are based on them being fit, pay as they play or something like that.

who do you reckon is injured more often Pat Kanyuka or Barry Corr?

For me first game aside Kanyuka has looked no better than Ifil. But it irrelevant. He could be the next Maldini, but that's useless if you never stay fit. Harsh, but with a smaller squad its useless taking on passengers. Even ion pay as you play it's too disruptive.

I'd get rid.  His only use seems to be as a destructive defensive midfielder in a 4-5-1. hes crap at centre back, and too bad on the ball to play CM in a 4-4-2

I'd agree. Plus his availability of course.  He was half asleep for the 13 minutes he did manage on Saturday, you'd think he'd have been bustng a gut (another 6 weeks off then) to prove himself.

His best game was when half dead at Luton...can't afford to carry injury prone players...byeeee  :bye:

You're the same group of fans that were happy to clap off an injured rovers player on Saturday. Yet a promising young defender we picked up but hasn't realised his potential, a big part of it being because of his injuries and lack of playing time, and you all go a bit heartless.

If that was directed at me, then actually my post does seem a little harsh.  It wasn't meant to be, but we can't carry passangers.  Shame, as is Corr's injury, but we can't keep them on if they can't be fit enough to play.

That's likely to be the case if we don't offer them new contracts.

Don't see as we'd have anything to lose, up to them if they sign them or not.

I have a feeling that DW quite likes Kanyuka,but given the injury problems hasn't fully made his mind up
about him,but feels there's something to possibly work on. It wouldn't surprise me if he was offered a further 1yr deal.

You just say things to provoke reaction don't you.

It's just the way it is. If you can't do the job you have to go, even if it is through no fault of your own. If we could guarantee Corr be fit for 75% of games then I'd sign him up right now. Not convinced on Kanyuka but I suspect Alan Mayes is right.

I personally don't think pay as you play is the way forward here. But we'll see.

The old pay as you play doesn't really suit players at this level who wouldn't be earning that much...it'd more for the likes of Robbie Fowler who wants to play coz they've got nowt better to do with their time...other than collect his rent money from his 100+ houses....or play soggy biscuit with steve macnamanmamaman :eek:

we arent paying the rovers player and his injury has no effect on our team what so ever.
