It's always been like that - the club run promotions/ticket price initiatives, don't market them properly (if at all), then conclude the promotion itself was at fault. I think part of the problem is that the marketing dept is too focused on commercial sales, maybe we need someone who's focus/experience is on retail, as it's a different kind of marketing.
