Title: Where do I stand Post by: Sippo on Saturday, March 28, 2009, 10:26:11 Right after my problems with tiscali, they decided to send me a bill for a months internet. I've rang them and told them that I am not paying for it as the internet was that slow I couldn't use it. They've said I'm obliged to pay it, but why should I pay for a service that I cannot use? I've spent a good 4 hours on the phone to their support department...
Grrrrrrrr. Title: Re: Where do I stand Post by: Bennett on Saturday, March 28, 2009, 13:16:15 send them emails pointing out their flaws and then they'll ignore your request for a senior manager to be referred to.
that'll give me something fun to do today!! argue with tiscali about their applaing service Title: Re: Where do I stand Post by: Phil_S on Saturday, March 28, 2009, 14:56:33 My brother had a problem with them yoo. Title: Re: Where do I stand Post by: Bennett on Saturday, March 28, 2009, 15:22:49 that's what my issue was phil, it's amazing how a company that's to do with computers can't work out a program to log calls...or have some sort of computer based log for emails of cancellation.
gits Title: Re: Where do I stand Post by: Phil_S on Monday, March 30, 2009, 17:27:22 been on the piss Phil ? I was the previous night. !! Title: Re: Where do I stand Post by: jonny72 on Monday, March 30, 2009, 20:46:18 With things like this it comes down to whether you can be arsed fighting them or not. There is a chance that if you don't pay they will keep chasing you for it and will eventually pass it on to a debt collection agency, who can be real fucking arseholes.
Title: Re: Where do I stand Post by: genf_stfc on Monday, March 30, 2009, 21:19:11 first off, whenever you complain to a company, do it in writing. they hate that, it only costs you the cost of the stamp, and it probably costs them about 30quid to pay someone to reply to it. And they are obliged to answer it too - once you have written to htem about three times the costs of answering outweigh whatever you are asking for.

Title: Re: Where do I stand Post by: chalkies_shorts on Monday, March 30, 2009, 21:52:03 Isn't this just a straight forward breach of contract. By being fucking useless haven't they frustrated and therefore null and voided the contract. No different to buying a pair of shoes that are shit.
