I would like Owain Fon Williams from Stockport. They are in the shit financially so think he would be a good number one for us replacing Smith/Brezovan,. Staiyng in L1 next season will limit his progress. Lower league Championship side I think next season I think especially as he is knocking on the door of the England side so.... If Ipswich can get dos santos, and QPR taraabt, then we could get some decent Championship players.

Meanwhile, former Town youngster Charlie Comyn-Platt is heading Down Under at the end of the month to join Australian side ECU Joondalup. The defender is currently plying his trade in the Blue Square South for Weston-super-Mare, managed by ex-Swindon star Andy Gurney, and flies to perth to begin the new chapter in his career on Monday (March 30). Comyn-Platt made 29 appearances, scoring two goals, for Town in between 2005 and 2007, and he will line up for new side Joondalup in the second tier of the Australian game - the Football West State League Premier Division. But I have confidence in him, he saw a need for a few players and brought in some excellent players on loan which have played a major part in the recent turn around.
A lot will depend on how much of the shit we can clear out, as we already have too many players, and making sure we get the decent players to sign new contracts. Who is out of contract in the summer? David Noble has just signed on loan for Yeovil until the end of the season. His City career is as good as over. Could be a very good signing for anyone in League 1 this summer. Coventry back-up 'keeper Dimi Constontopolous would be a good one too. Antony Sweeney or Joel Porter at Hartlepool would be worth a look as well. if we sell cox then we'll have cash to spend, if he signs a new contract and stays then players will want to play with him - with a good defense his goals would surely put us up near the play-offs, which players would want to be a part of. as mentioned elsewhere we're much more stable than most clubs in L1 now also which will be a plus. also do not underestimate the lure of danny wilson, his style of football is the style players want to play. hopefully we'll be in for a promising season next time round, a lot of dead wood to rid ourselves of though...
