Clough looked a bit pissed off by the time the Town fans started filtering out, he must've been asked about 30 times for autographs/photos.

You're a well known football figure in a popular resturant/drinking place on a matchday. I'm afraid that's Clough's problem.

I was in a pub a couple of weeks ago before Newcastle vs. Man Utd - Bryan Robson was in there and no one cared :D

I think I was one of the first... certainly none aroudn him from what I saw when we got in there.. then there were quite a few people asking for pictures etc.

Thing is as noted. Your a well known football player/manager etc in a pub near a football ground full of football fans. If he didnt want attention should go either into the exec area in the ground or not go in there IMO.

He was friendly enough though to be honest.

He looks like you've taken him hostage and he's having the picture taken against his will!

Sixfields attracts the best.. John Ward (former Cheltenham and Carlisle manager) Gary Megson, Colin Calderwood and of course Nigel Clough were all watching that thrilling game last night

Sixfields attracts the lazy people who can't be arsed to drive further than the midlands, it's a very convenient spot.

My brother asked him 'who are you spying on...Coxy I suppose !' he replied 'actually we have a lad on loan at Northampton playing tonight so who do you think ?' four of us replied 'Coxy then' in unison. I thought he was a bit offish considering the circumstances i.e. in a pub nearest to the ground full of fans, not sure what he expects ???? and he had chicken wings with celery (didn't see him throw the celery up in the air during the game !) and a dodgy looking dip + glass of coke, looked crap ! He had Nosferatu with him too !!?

Told a Derby fan at work where Cloughie was last night. His immediate response was that it was probably because Derby have a couple of players out on loan at Northampton. He also said that Derby have a glut of strikers at the moment - none that were alot of good though!
