Title: Yeovil Pubbage
Post by: Talk Talk on Monday, March 23, 2009, 10:59:18
Pub for Saturday...

Last time - three years ago! - we took a minibus down we went to the Bell (not far from the ground). It was the occasion when ITV were filming for Soccer Night and we were singing 'Pitman is a wanker' in the background.

It's a Hungry Horse and the food is cheap. I've checked with them and they are fine with us invading the pub again. The lady I spoke to even remembered us chanting last time!

Went to the arrow last year. Was a short walk to the ground and the locals didn't mind Fred being unleashed upon them.

Yep, we're going to The Arrow again but Fred's not going this time.

Are either of these pubs the one where you have to walk through a new housing estate and the pub is right next to the vets

Do they do cheap food?

It had a proper menu and I don't remember it being too expensive.

Yeah, it's a kind of Hungry Horse type place itself (although I'm not exactly sure what franchise it is) and it's got a carpark for your bus.

I've got space as well now Fred's jibbed out, but you'll have to spend the night at herthab's gaff.

I expect I'll be driving down, just waiting to see if mates want to go before I make any proper plans though. £10 for a student ticket. Ace.

Do I need advance tickets for this, or can I pay on the day?

Heading for the Arrow (no pun intended) pre-match, but I strongly suspect I'll be driving. Boo.

Oh, and Elliot, you slacker.....

FYI - all the 600 advance Yeovil tickets have been sold - the remainder are all pay on the day...saves you a trip to the ticket office.

Really impressed with the turnout at Northampton tonight. Kind of wish I'd gone but my wallet doesn't agree. Looking forward to Yeovil - hopefully we can take over 1,000 and make some real noise - it's not easy on the old open terrace!

Anyone wishing to have a couple of drinks outside Yeovil, before heading to the Arrow, are welcome at The Brewers Arms in South Petherton (Postcode TA13 5BS)

They'll be a few of us in there until 1pm.

We've got a spare minibus seat Dan. And we are picking up in your neck of the woods.

PM me if you are interested.

Yes, but as I said last night I'm not coming back until Sunday. I'm sure Steve'll let you stay at his gaff. Conditions of travel are that you shave the beard off though, I'm not sure my car can take the weight.

If anybody is still stuck for a lift we have a few seats free on the minibus.

£15-ish including hire and diesel, picking up from just about anywhere in Swindon from 9am - 10am. Bring your own booze.

Send me a PM.
