Title: Thursday, March 26th
Post by: ronnie21 on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, 18:57:56
Turning out to be quite important day.  I believe it is transfer deadline day for loans, also the Football League have stated that any club going into administration after that date will have the 10 point deduction either transferred to the new season or applied this season.  This will depend on whether the club would be relegated without the deduction or not.  All designed to stop another Leeds fiasco.  Up to 9 clubs are reckoned to be close to administration and may decide to bail out before the 26th!

Obviously anything to secure L1 football but I'd be a little embarressed if we were saved by a points deduction for another club.

No I don't, but I got that from a Norwich City link, who are actually denying that they are one of them - which is interesting considering the attendances they get.  If they are struggling with over 20,000 in most games then the future for quite a few seems bleak.

Stockport are one of them, hence their fire sale at the end of last month

Stockport and Cheltenham at the very least from our division, reckon Yeovil may be in a little trouble as well.

I wouldn't be ashamed in any way if someone swapped places with us by virtue of going into admin, it's the result of that club spending more than they can afford to stay ahead of clubs who cut their cloth accordingly.  And yes, I would have accepted it as our punishment if we'd have been dished it.

Stockport are most likely, a few in League 2 are probably close and you always have 1 or 2 bigger clubs who have bitten off more than they can chew chasing the dream.

Maybe we should have an administration prediction thread, instead of the death one, slightly more tasteful?

Ooh I got to list who's got points for Wendy Richards. I'd forgotten about that. Won't be many.

Anyone go for Liam Neeson's wife? She left us last night after a skiing accident.

Looks like Stockport are on the way, banned from signing players after borrowing from the pfa to pay wages!
