Title: HRK
Post by: Bob's Orange on Monday, March 16, 2009, 07:42:37
Should be massively up for the game against Southend and will be our match winner.

Or will try too hard and get sent off.

You decide.

He'll show flashes of brilliance but ultimately over do things.

Paynter will be up for it as well I'd have thought.

Well hopefully. To be honest I hope that all of the team are up for this. We need to break this run of defeats. A win would hopefully be a big confidence boost for the Hereford match on Saturday which is a Must Win.

65 points should see us safe:)

I know what you mean, I hope that the players go into each and every game as if their livelihoods depend on it. Because it probably does.

10 cup finals. Win our mini-league against the teams around us, etc, etc.

See he signed a new contract. Anyone think thats so they could get a decent fee for him?

He's 19 and has shown a lot of potential to me.  if he improves his final ball and decision making he could be a premier league player in the future in my opinion.

Defensivly he is very poor imo but would agree with that ct. Just think they tried the same thing with cox before he left

makes sense for both sides, he gets the security of a longish deal and they'll get decent fee if he goes.  i was hoping he would join us for virtually fuck all though

I'd agree with that, potential is clear to see, but needs a lot of hard work din final ball and defenensive duties.

The Southend fans stood and applauded him off when he was subbed, which I thought was a nice touch.

I'd like to see HRK play up front alongside Cox. Next time Wilson puts Marshall on, I reckon he should take Paynter off and push HRK up front with Marshall taking HRK's place in midfield.

HRK just seems to be playing more and more like a forward the more games I see.

Um ok

Um ok

Why not?

He's got the physical presence, his work down the wings has been pretty poor recently along with his crosses and he goes for goal any chance he gets. Worth a try for the last 15 minutes of a game.

I'm with Jonny. I said that to my mate last night after Paynter was injured on the hour mark and Wilson didn't want to bring on Sturrock.

I've been very critical of HRK since his arrival, but I have to say he played well last night.

I still however think he's a greedy bastard and could pass instead of running at 4 players and losing the fucking ball 90% of the time.

But last night he was ok(ish)

Mac creates but doesn't score, Kanu scores but doesn't create, between them there is one very good player

He just dont look striker material to me dont know why he just does not.Instead of trying to make him into another player let him develope as a wainger learn a few more bits and i think Reading will have very very good player on their hands.

Mr Coppell has just rewarded him with a new 2 year contract, with his track record of producing talented young players who are we to argue where and when he should play.He is 19 years old and learning his trade and we are being used to help him. Just like us loaning out some of our talented kids when the times right, all parties benefit.

Much of that will come with time, he's only a few years out of playing football where that was the thing Dad used to encourage so his team would beat the other lot 19-0.  He's got all the abilities needed to be moulded over the next 18 months or so into a very good player.  Right now he is playing for himself, it's what you always get with a teenage player on loan at another club, he's trying to show what he can do for his paymasters.  If we get some benefit form that, and we are, then all's good.

Agreed, he's like a latter day Jonnie Jackson in terms of playing for himself but he's much better.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but his loan has been extended to the end of April, so Bristol rovers at home will be his last game. Very good news I think, he's a real threat and has scored more goals in his short spell than Macca has in how ever long he's been here (maybe not strictly true, but you know what I mean).

I've not been his biggest fan up till now but he was fucking ace on saturday. Still could be a little less greedy though.
