Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 01:20:32 I llike Rangers, hate Celtic. I'd love it if they won the league but I think it'll probably be Celtic. :(
Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 07:48:29 Theres never been a team like the Glasgow Rangers.
They are the only fans in Britain who regularly sing God save the Queen. Awesome support. Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: Bob's Orange on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 10:12:02 Nope, both old firm teams are a bunch of cheating scumbags who get all the decisions for them. Last week at Tynecastle, Steven Pressley was brought down in the last minute and was subsequently sent off for having the cheek to be fouled by a Celtic player. On that decision, Celtic will now win the league.
Come on Rangers (at Hibs) and Aberdeen (albeit at home against the jambos!) today, a six goal swing is needed to deny the Hibs scum a European place!! Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: Tails on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 11:07:54 Down to the religious aspects of the rivalry I prefer Rangers.
They've got a nicer kit aswell. Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: yeo on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 11:09:28 Come on the St Johnstones!
I have a hat 8) Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: Melksham Red on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 11:11:55 Full respect to the Gers. Any Brit protestant should respect them to. Celtic are a bunch of IRA supporting, fenian bastards.
Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: Boeta on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 11:41:33 Out of the two I prefer Celtic, but I don't really care

Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 12:54:22 Anyone who slags off the Queen is unpatriotic. FACT.
Mex, why are customs any different to any other taxes? No Iv never had to pay customs, and Im not bothered if I do because Im not a smuggler. Im happy with my country. And yes I suppose Its does make me feel glad that you have to pay, as it does with all tax exiles. :ha: British by the grace of God. Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? I'm not really for abolishing the royal family either, but you won't catch me sing GSTQ. Shit song as well, change it to Jerusalem. Anyone on here been to Northern Ireland? All the young people I met there couldn't give a flying fuck about politics, although it has to be said they didn't come from the Belfast slums. Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Anyone see that the Argies might try it on in the Falklands again? Let em come. :mooney: Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 13:46:59 I will give you one thing. I would support Jerusalem being sung as an English national anthem (even if it does remind me of Vauxhall adverts), reserving GSTQ to British events only (and Northern Ireland  ).
Got a mate who went to Scotland V England, Hampden Park 99 and he said that the booing of GSTQ was so loud that even if you wanted to sing the national anthem you couldnt because you couldnt even hear the person next to you. Its wrong to bring the loyalism issue into provincial football. Either everyone should sing GSTQ or we should have four separate anthems. Or we could have a British football team. http://67.18.37.16/525/186/emo/fing32.gifhttp://67.18.37.16/525/186/emo/run.gif Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: sonicyouth on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 13:49:14 or we could just ditch national anthems all together.
Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 14:43:46 Don't like GSTQ, but Jerusalem is just as shit.
I think we should all dance around like crazy monkeys to the tune of the MOTD theme tune. That would be best Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? Post by: Whits on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 14:47:47 i quite enjoy singing GSTQ at football, its almost like a minutes silence, gets the crowd going a bit

Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 15:33:03 It's more hating Celtic, I hate a lot of teams, if it was Hibs or Celtic who had a chance on the last day, I'd be just as happy if Hibs won it and Celtic didn't.
Also I don't really like any teams much outside of Britain. (Aside from AS Port-Louis 2000 and Dhaka Wanderers.) Title: Any respect fot the Glasgow Rangers? I've been to Belfast and other parts of NI, on several occasions at the height of the troubles....haven't been for a few years mind, so couldn't say what the atmosphere is like now. Post by: Amir on Sunday, May 22, 2005, 15:55:52 Quote I hate that edgy paranoia you get when you know the territory is dodgy, and you wonder if you're in the wrong place.... In certain pubs I did wonder if I was in the right place, and in fact I was warned not to mention the south. The loyalists love you though, a group of women were trying to get me to go out with their daughters, and then they gave me a load of free food and drink. The red, white and blue paving stones, and the murals were very strange to see in real life. |
