Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: nevillew on Sunday, March 8, 2009, 15:03:47 Count me in, I bet on them to lose every time anyway.
Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Nemo on Sunday, March 8, 2009, 16:35:00 We can only bet on us losing? Sounds like a good plan, I'll do it.
I suggest we should all use Betfair in order to cheer up our board as well. Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: BANGKOK RED on Sunday, March 8, 2009, 16:43:41 I can't bet here.
Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Simon Pieman on Sunday, March 8, 2009, 17:58:54 We can only bet on us losing? Sounds like a good plan, I'll do it. I suggest we should all use Betfair in order to cheer up our board as well. Yeah good point :) I tend to use betfair because the odds are so much better, although you have to account for the commission. If anyone wants some magic free betting goodness there's a referral code in my signature. You get a £25 free bet if you lose your first one and then if you stake so much (think it's £100) you get £20 and so do I. These bonuses then continue every quarter so if you know someone with a referral code or want to use mine it's worth doing. Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Simon Pieman on Sunday, March 8, 2009, 18:00:14 Anyway that's 5 people who are doing this so far. If anymore wish to join before the game on Tuesday or thereafter that's great.
But seeing as we have 5 so far I think that's enough to say game on! Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, March 9, 2009, 14:55:06 Given Wilson's use of the loan market the RAF could be more useful in the future too. Any more takers?
Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: @MacPhlea on Monday, March 9, 2009, 15:42:38 When we were relegated previously betting against us was my one bit of solice - if we won I could take the £10 loss, if we lost I had enough winnings to go drown my sorrow and if we drew it was a dull day... thank god I haven't taken this route this season... although now it is looking like I may well be drawn back into the zone...
Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: nevillew on Monday, March 9, 2009, 16:00:50 I'm not betting on the Colchester game as I think we'll not lose (contrary to my earlier post about betting against every time - it's just got interesting)
Therefore I still have £10 Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: nochee on Monday, March 9, 2009, 16:05:32 Go on then :)
Sounds like a giggle. Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: nochee on Monday, March 9, 2009, 16:25:04 OK, ive started. I put £1 on a Colchester win using William Hill 8/11 (already have an account)
This will get me a whopping £1.73 return I am expecting an email from WH soon slating me for making such a wanky bet but all in the name of fun and all that :) Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: THE FLASH on Monday, March 9, 2009, 16:26:44 I was in but need a backer.

Bet Si Pie will beat me on the .01 now. Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, March 9, 2009, 21:29:55 Loads of games to go. I'll probably lose all my money on the first two games :)

Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: nevillew on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, 08:23:39 Unless I use betfair there's no way of getting those odds. It's odds on Colchester win on my normal site.
I have used betfair before so I'll have to switch I guess Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Nemo on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, 21:39:47 Off to a flier :(

Tempted to put the whole lot on Leeds beating us as if we get anything I'll be too drunk to mind.# Edit: Away from this specific game, Inter have been backed out to 11/2 to beat Man Utd tonight, that's crazy odds! Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Nemo on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, 10:37:24 £8 quid on Leeds, returning stake plus 4.64

Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, 18:01:35 Nemo I've made the table but £5 @ 1.94 less 5% commission is a return of £9.22 giving you £14.22 overall.
Please correct me if your commission is lower, mine is due to the amounts I've staked recently. Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: nochee on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, 18:45:22 Ive put my entire pot of £10.73 on.
This gives me £15.50 back. Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Nemo on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, 20:44:49 Nemo I've made the table but £5 @ 1.94 less 5% commission is a return of £9.22 giving you £14.22 overall. Please correct me if your commission is lower, mine is due to the amounts I've staked recently. My betfair account which previous had nowt in now contains 14.46, so either I have lower commision or it's only charged on the winnings. Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, 20:53:36 Ok, that now makes sense I will change the table accordingly. I got confuised because you put £14.96 originally which made no sense at all.
Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Nemo on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, 20:55:54 Early morning reading isn't up to scratch. I've got 8 of it on a Leeds win, tempted to shove the rest in as well.
Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, March 13, 2009, 17:39:48 £10 on Leeds @ 1.57 on Boylesports
Returns £15.70 for a £5.70 profit. Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Nemo on Friday, March 13, 2009, 22:47:28 I've gone for it and plonked the rest of my money on Leeds winning. I've decided I'll be far too happy to care if we don't lose.
14.46 on, returning stake plus 8.13. By the way Si, can we bet on specific scorelines or only "Swindon loss"? Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Simon Pieman on Saturday, March 14, 2009, 00:02:08 I was thinking about this yesterday in fact. I think specific scorelines are ok, as long as it's still a Swindon loss.
As I did say stick as much or as little from your pot on Swindon to lose, I think it's only fair if people want to mix and match specific scores with full time result bets then that's ok too. But no other bets i.e. half time/full time, handicaps or goalscorers and the such. Remember, we're betting on being crap over the 90 minutes. Title: Re: The TEF road to relegation/survival betting game Post by: Nemo on Sunday, March 15, 2009, 15:09:05 22.18 in the account now, off to a flier. Not sure about Southend yet, they're 13/8 which isn't bad odds. I'll probably avoid scoreline bets for now.

Im not convinced of a Southend win. But would not really be suprised. I also had bigger hopes with the Daily Mirror link. i thought we would be double page centre spread...at least!
