Title: The Positivity Thread
Post by: Tails on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, 12:56:34
For those of you who want to say positive things about our current situation.

I'll start the ball rolling..

Kevin Amankwaah is slowly but surely turning into a goal machine.
Hal Robson Kanu's left foot is ace.
Anthony McNamee has pacey and powerful crosses.
We will be ace and win more games next season.

the sun is shining, things are starting to grow, and stfc isn't a priority for me anymore.stfc doesn't mean as much to me as it used to.it's just a hobby-interesnt i have and not a necessity.i think that's positive. if it dominated my life (like for example stfcgazza) i'd be very down in the dumps right now.

I am coming around to the idea that since we changed our badge we have been shit :D

And yes maybe I do take STFC too seriously. sad? perhaps but oh well..

Lucky Mrs Foster - I just got moaned at for "dressing for fashion rather than practicality" and "being sulky and whingy"

stupid oaf weather

I was in the car park when I heard the teams coming out and started running to the gate to get into the ground then I went flying into a puddle wearing my rucksack and my jeans got wet and everything.

But on the positive side I'm HIV positive.

Car park is nothing to do with STFC, write to the council and claim compensation.  STFC is responsible for the shit areas around the stadium though, like the one I stepped in.  Did catch two cod and a haddock though - small compensation for sitting through the last 180 minutes of drivel we have watched!

A truly stylish person will combine fashion and practicability.

You should have worn a pirate costume.

Well my River Island Cowboy Boots (reserved for football matches only) were pissed wet through in the Merlin Car park as i danced around with the Paynter shirt that Samdy gave me.

The only parking place left was in the flooded corner.

OK heres my serious positive post. Heres the positives...

* I think Danny Wilson is a decent manager and we will come good if we just give him some time, support and money.
* We are not in the financial shit anymore unlike Cheltenham, Weymouth and others
* We still have Cox. Who was apparently described by Ian Wright as being one of the most talented young strikers he has seen in years and even if you are of the (wrong) opinion hes not that good his financial value is high.
* Our attendances are pretty high compared to others in the league considering our league position
* We climbed a league place yesterday
* I don't think we will go down...
* ...but if we do theres a chance we will be playing oxford again next year!

Anthony McNamee has pacey and powerful crosses.

he has pace
his crosses are powerful- either into the defender stood next to him, not to beat the first man or the other extreme of out for a throw

Positive please Bennett. I never said the outcome of McNamee's crosses, I just said they are pacey and powerful :)
