1. A dull turgid 0-0.

2. A passionate and committed performance against a dogged Cheltenham side, who will only capitulate after the ref sends of three of their players and we win 7-0.

3. A soulless, pathetic effort against a shite team who we REALLY need to beat and get three points. Ifil is due a Red Card, and here's the game he'll get it and we lose 3-0.

I'm going for option 3........happy fucking soul that I am.......

Every time in recent history the Town have had a big must-win game it has been severe disappointment.  This is Cheltenham's cup final.  If we win I will "Byrne my anorak", but I have to prepare for the empty dispair that follows the bitter taste of defeat.

They will lose to Cheltenham and then win at Leeds.

Theory immediately flawed. As a rule we don't beat Leeds :)

We've lost our last 7 encounters. Last win was the big one in 1990 3-2.

Looking on Banyard's site - we've only beaten them twice in 19 competitive games (Harold F grabbing a brace in the first win). We've only beaten Cheltenham once in six... But that was the sound 3-0 tonking last season.

I will make one prediction.  Wilson will try and turn one of his squad into a striker.  He's noted for playing players in new positions, or out of position.  Wouldn't be surprised to see Amankwah (sp.) or somebody similar playing up front in a few games to give Paynter half an hour of respite. 

I think you might be close Crozzer, but I predict tonight he will put Peacock back in midfield with Timlin.

Looks like peacock is injured, which will be a blessing imo.

It seems like when we've lost our last game everyones like "oh no we're gonna lose" and when we've won everyone is confident of a win.

Don't believe everything you read. he was fit enough yesterday.

That would seem like a very wry comment were it not for the facts that a good 80% of the predictions on here are for a Swindon win, and that we've lost our last two games 1-0.

Given those facts however it's just plain wrong.

80%? Really? Look through the thread. Seems to me a lot of people are saying we'll lose. Maybe it seems like more cos a few people think we'll draw and a draw woud feel like a loss.

What about attendance predictions? I think it will be somewhere just over 7000. 7200 maybe? Its such an important game and although Cheltenham attendances at home have been extremely low I think they will bring 500 or so?

Anyone know how many tickets Cheltenham have sold?

I did a vague count and got about 30, 5, 10 (wdl).
