Darlington are expected to announce that they have been placed in administration on Wednesday, reports BBC Tees. Administrators would take over the running of the club from chairman George Houghton, with the priority of finding new investment. Darlington are currently seventh in League Two, but entering administration would incur a 10-point decuction. Dave Penney is a good lower league boss and they have some decent players - sadly they don't have a major fanbase.

You'd be suprised, then again I work in Durham which I believe is Mackem territory. Newcastle have alot of supporters regardless of whether or not they go - like every fanbase in the world some don't go when it's shit.
