Did not listen to all of it, but Ian Wright brought up seeing cox on the football round up show when cox talked about "not being ready to move just yet" and he saw the goals against walsall.
Wright started a discussion about plenty of lower league players in league 1 and below that who have great technical ability.
He mentioned how cox could easily and should be given the chance to be signed by a premier league club (he used villa as an example)
Adrian Durham had not seen the goal so they brought it up on screen and Durham was speechless at the quality of it.
They then found out about the fernabache goal and could not believe that he had done nearly the same thing twice.
Only heard one swindon caller as they were mostly texts who just said he was "pure class"
Reading fan text in to point out that Wright was wrong thinking Reading had released him and that they has a big sell on and got a couple of hundred thousand pounds for him.

Loads of "we love cox" jokes throughout the show but Wrighty genuinely Thought cox is the best prospect he has seen in years on the basis of those goals.

All adds to his price tag and It got everyone checking out the goals he's scored by the sounds of it.
For once it's nice to have a bit of coverage on a striker which can only help us if a club does come in for him.

Of course this could mean that defenders will now mark him more out of the game....who knows

Its his work rate that impresses me the most, I can't remember a forward at Swindon working as hard as he does. He's always chasing the keeper and making runs, plus dropping back to find space and get the ball. Except maybe he drops back a bit too much.

I'm surprised one of the Premiership teams near the bottom didn't take a punt on him. Even a couple of million would have been worth the risk for someone who could potentially save them from the drop.

His headed miss last night was woeful.....

That's why no-one has taken a punt on him. He is a very good League One player at the moment and nothing more, it took SSP 3 seasons and over 70 goals to get a move away. He certainly has the potential to become a very good player but lacks certain qualities at the moment, but then he is only 21.

I've said before he reminds me of a half-way house between Robbie Keane and Dickov actually.

Oooooh Coxy talked about on Talksport again! Clarification from Reading chief scout that they sold him, not released, and they have a sell on and let him go because of a striker surpless at the time. Wow.

To be fair he is saying Cox wanted first team footy and that if they had kept him he wouldn't have progressed as he had .

They did want to keep him, but he really wanted to go!

I have seen this programme quite a lot in India - Micky Hazard was on it talking about his Spurs days and his Taxi driving.
