Title: Think Danny Wilson Post by: leefer on Monday, February 23, 2009, 14:08:14 Will be up for tomorow night big time..was abit of a suprise he left Pool and it seems it wasnt a happy split...maybe on the lines of the Slade episode at Yeovil, anyway the good news is that Joel Porter is very doubtfull for tomorows match.
Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: Batch on Monday, February 23, 2009, 14:30:59 Was just looking at some Hartlepool forums. Seem the fans were unhappy with Wilson for playing players out of position and so on. Perhaps that put pressure on the owners, though I'm not sure to what extent fans became restless.
He is doing the same here, but it is working thus far. And presumably it was working at Hartlepool as they are in free fall right now - now they have everyone in their proper positions:) Either way tomorrow is a massive game. Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: nochee on Monday, February 23, 2009, 15:02:43 Sadly i dont get to go to see the town anymore. Are we singing any DW songs yet?
Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: suttonred on Monday, February 23, 2009, 15:10:23 Yep plenty of d w's red n white army, virtually since he walked onto the pitch v Brighton (although didn't last too long that day!)
Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: STFC_Gazza on Monday, February 23, 2009, 15:15:47 And..... people started chanting "Theres only one Danny Wilson" I think the fans are happy with him!
Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: overthehill on Monday, February 23, 2009, 15:20:06 I think he is doing ok so far with some very brave team selections.
The midfield still lacks leadership but if we keep picking up points who cares. Lets hope we play against more nine man teams in the future. Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: Spencer_White on Monday, February 23, 2009, 20:08:35 See if we cant bounce a 'Danny Wilsons red and white army' off the South stand? Show him he is apprieciated here.
Wilson and Slade left Hartlepool and Yeovil for simmilar reasons. Both clubs punched well above their weight for quite a few years and are now rapidly headed down the financial swanny. Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: axs on Monday, February 23, 2009, 20:21:04 See if we cant bounce a 'Danny Wilsons red and white army' off the South stand? Show him he is apprieciated here. It almost happened on Saturday but didn't quite take off. Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: Spencer_White on Monday, February 23, 2009, 20:22:17 Everyone was too busy abusing Murphy.
:D Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: axs on Monday, February 23, 2009, 20:23:14 Everyone was too busy abusing Murphy. :D Which was enormous fun. Haven't enjoyed a home match that much in a while. Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: leefer on Monday, February 23, 2009, 20:33:46 Was good....but to be fair that save from Cox was brilliant.
Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: axs on Monday, February 23, 2009, 20:49:14 To be fair, he's a cunt and deserved it all.
Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: leefer on Monday, February 23, 2009, 20:50:09 To be fair, he's a cunt and deserved it all. Agreed...but hes a good keeper. Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: nevillew on Monday, February 23, 2009, 20:56:33 Agreed...but hes a good keeper. Not if you look at our third goal... Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: Melksham Red on Monday, February 23, 2009, 21:24:56 I'm quite impressed with DW thus far. He likes passing football and seems tactically astute. One of the best things for me is, he's tamed the headless chickens that are Byrne and Williams. No more constant shouting and fucking hollaring and jumping around outside the dugout. It looks like they've been put in their place, DW's come in and said i'm the fucking boss, shut the fuck up and do as your told. Quite a contrast to Malpas who seemed to just let them run the show.
Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: wheretherealredsare on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, 08:40:59 I think you meant ruin the show?
Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: Tails on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, 08:44:37 Hartlepool's players will be up for it as well I think. If we can keep up recent levels of performances we'll win but I'll be happy with a scrappy 1-0 of course. We just need the win!
Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: @MacPhlea on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, 13:22:18 Had to laugh when we took the lead against Scunthorpe, Byrne jumped on the back of DW and he just turned around, gave him a 'what the fuck are you doing?' look and Byrne shuffled away to celebrate with the bench...
Title: Re: Think Danny Wilson Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, 14:07:06 eugh Byrne is like an embarressing cockney uncle
