I know a lot of people have predicted a defeat, but I really think we can win this.

Millwall haven't been playing particularly well recently and are not the most attack minded, even at home.

Play like we did at the crispbowl and we will come away with 3 points.

If any of you want to recapture the football feeling you used to get as a child or a teenager, I would suggest that you simply cut the number of games you go to each season to low single figures.

For me, today is match #2 this season (the first being Leeds at home in September).  I leapt of bed this morning.  The last thing I said to my 8 month old son before I left the house was 'You reds!'  My Swindon scarf and coffee mug are beside me on my desk.  I am having some difficulty in focussing on the tasks I have set for myself before leaving the office this evening.  I have a knot of tension in my stomach that is not related to indigestion.

I am 36 years old and should know better.  Think we'll win.

I guess that with some direction and a proper plan from Wilson, they don't need to do anything except keep the players fit - and perhaps oversee the conversition of Pat to a central midfielder. So I guess one of them must be doing something right, even if it is just following instructions!

And yeah I'd be very surprised to get anything out of tonight. I'll hope we can but to an honourable defeat is all that I will expect.

Me too, because against the good teams its possibly easier to know what to do and how to think. We want to win these games, the players want to prove themselves. And a loss isn't unexpected so the pressure is somehow less.

Against the teams around us, how do we go about it. Go out to not lose? Go out to win? The pressure will be huge and the fixtures are coming thick and fast. The home crowd will be restless but hopefully the gravity of the situation and recent performances will lift us to support the team.

We don't get much luck do we. I'd rather we conceded in the 58th minute or something and get a draw - that must be the at least the fifth 85-90 goal we've conceded that has resulted in a draw.

to be fair Leicester hit the wood work 3 times so we had a bit of luck Saturday!!

...but...thats Millwall and Peterborough where one of their players as his the best goal he will ever score in his life against us in stoppage time to rescue a point

We've lost two fewer games than Leeds. That's how much the draws have hurt us.

So what should Wilson do? Keep faith in a team that's clearly improving (slowly but surely) or try get the best out of one of the fringe players? Or get a couple more loans in?

It's not really luck though....since the introduction of a greater numbers of subs, more late goals get scored...you've either to get well out in front or have some strategy to counter the effect of fresh forwards.

I think we've only managed to get more than a goal up on the road twice this season, screwing up royally at HPool....but at Orient, the 2-0 goal lead was sufficient to see off their inevitable late goal. We've also conceded late goals in 3 of our 4 home wins, but again had 2 goal cushions.

 Key stat is that only Cheltnumb have won less games than us...even Hereford and Crewe are more prolific.

 This has to change sharpish.. Saturday would be a good time to start...Scunny are away specialists though, so we can only win by attacking them.

We certainly need a win going into the hectic March schedule (but that's blatantly obvious)

of course, Hereford and Crewe have also lost more than we have.

Infact only Rovers have lost less than us in the bottom half.

We played well tonight. Not quite the same as Saturday but we were still very organised and looked to play football the right way. Brez made a couple of decent saves but after going 1-0 up we weren;t threatened all that often. Their goal was a cracker and there's not much you can do to stop those - certainly hard to blame any individual.

I wish people would get a sense of perspective - we've got 3 points from 3 very tough away games. Okay we need wins but against these teams? No. We need to start winning some home games, if we ever play any, and we'll be fine. I'm really not worried about relegation at all after the last few days

we are going to stay up. the way the ball was being played around tonight was fucking superb at times. Nothing we could do about the goal. Last game i saw was brighton we were 100 times better tonight, danny wilson is proving to be a shrewd manager, if we continue to play to this level we will end up mid table, easy.

If we were a play-off team, points won away at Oldham, Leicester and Millwall would be quite acceptable.  Now for Scunthorpe at home.  We are having a run of games against the best opposition in League 1, if we can go unbeaten that would be excellent. 

I'v read one page of bleating basically, from people who probably didnt  go to either tonight or leicester, we drew both 1-1 and basically look fucking solid, bar their wonder goal tonight i didn't think they looked like scoring, no way will we go down. And as for Millwall " no one likes us"? "no one can hear us more like" worst home support i've heard in years.

I really wanted to start singing 'we like you millwall, we do'.

Game was good, some quality stuff out there today and Brez was on form, superb save just before their goal.

The point about late goals being conceded needs to addressed though.

yes axs, concentration through to final whistle and as Wilson said the other day, a little bit more composure to pick out a pass when we have the ball in defensive positions, then these draws turn into wins and we look towards the playoffs (in another season).

Wilson's impact has been very positive so far.

It was the dodgy free kick before that gave them the chance. Great finish though and I'm sure Brez saved a similar one earlier.

He did, about 10 mins before, but 3 brez's wouldn't have stopped their goal, normally they're once in a lifetime, for us once every 3 games it seems.

I can't understand the negative shit after we've gained valuable points at places where we would have been dicked under Malpas and Byrne.

Wilson has performed fucking miracles in a couple of weeks. He's sorted out the defence by bringing in Greer and Vincent (good timing was on his side with Vincent, granted) and he's had the nuts to choose players he thinks will do a job for us in positions that none of us clever forum cunts had thought about, let alone predicted.

I bet Fitton and the rest of the board are sleeping better at the moment anyway;D

No. you've read one page of disappointment at being so close to 4 extra points that would have pulled us away from the bottom. Nobody is arguing that the performances have been anything less than superb, against very good teams,  and that if we play like that we will be fine.

But we are too close to the dotted line today and people are still nervous.

Bring on the lower half teams and we'll know the answer one way or t'other.

Another good performance, bit disappointed to get just 1 point but their goal was unstoppable.

Poor atmosphere, although there was a few of us at the back giving it a go.

Millwall support is shit, hardly heard them all game, apart from the jazz hand chant a couple of times.

Quite enjoyed watching Sam and the ticket inspector playing hide and seek on the train home..

A great night out last night, spoiled only by a late equaliser that no keeper could have got near.  Left the ground feeling quite torn.  One on hand, we're letting valuable points slip - but on the other, we played as a team last night.  The thing that struck me more than anything else was the quality of our play in midfield...neat passing, and we were winning most of the 50/50 balls.  And Brez was solid.

One of my friends summed up the situation quite well on the way back.  'If we're not careful, we might get relegated by accident.'  Frustrating that we're still in the scrap, but there's hope.

Excellent turn out in the Market Porter before the game.  For anyone who frequents MOS, I can confirm that Kingston Robin does exist.  Yes, it's true.

Oh god. People who went claiming we should be more positive. They just want to make out they're special because they witnessed the game first hand.

For what it's worth I've never noticed any correlation between the eventual accuracy of insight into what needs to be done on the basis of performance and away game attendance, if there is one it's certainly more of an inverse relationship - the man who's willing to travel to Tuesday night away games is often capable of deluding himself the most.

Had a good day out in the big smoke.Saw the Elgin marbles and a some lovely tapestries.Ate some great food and sat in a fab pub watching the cricket.Then went to the game.

Was impressed.Haven't seen us since Walsall at home,and we've come on since then.Look a lot more solid at the back and also like we want the ball and aren't scared of it.Of course the injury time equaliser was a gutter,but i would have taken a point prior to kick off.Brez's save was amazing,fantastic to see him back to his best.Thought Millwall were poor and got a bit lucky basically.But we really can't afford all these last minute draws,happened too often this season,thrown away too many points.Really,really hoping we don't come to regret them.
