Post by: ronnie21 on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, 19:10:29
Released by Watford, I certainly didn't rate him - did anybody?

Sign him up, think he could replace Cox when he goes in the summer.

Says in the free papers up here that Orient, luton, Barnet and Dagenham want him, guess league 2 is his level at best.

Ashikodi was shit from what we saw of him. Hereford fans were none too impressed either. But I supposed he must have something for clubs to continually employ him.

i dont think we saw enough of him to make a full judgement, but the one thing that sticks in my head was when he was brought on as an 80th minute sub and then subbed off at the 85th minute, priceless

That was the Huddersfield match.

Be fair, he was on for at least 10 minutes :) He came off for Roberts, which turned out to be his last game for us.

Sort of rubbish we would never have touched if Paul Sturrock had still been at the club.

Patrick Noubissie, Kaid Mohamed, Chris Blackburn although not as bad as Ashikodi were all not up to 'standard'.

All managers provide the occasional transfer faux pas.

Sturrock was very particular about his strikers though.

My personal favourite Moses Ashikodi moment was during the home game v Nottingham Forest where in added time he made out to the ref that the ball had gone flat to waste a bit of time, and ended up getting booked for it :)

In fairness, that was brilliant.

He'll re-employ his son in the summer then.
