Title: Re: Leicester Post by: Luci on Monday, February 9, 2009, 09:20:36 Depends if its cheaper than driving....
Title: Re: Leicester Post by: donkey on Monday, February 9, 2009, 18:11:34 Before I got a car, I had to get the train to Swindon. The journey was to Bristol Parkway, then Didcot, then Leicester. I hated the journey - took too long. Get a lift if you can.
Drive up towards Burford, through Stow and Morton, then head to Coventry and Warwick, rather than carrying on up the Fosse Way (unless you like driving through loads of small villages). A46 to M69 and on into Leicester. I can do it in 1 hour 50mins, but my slower driving friends always do it in 2 hours. Title: Re: Leicester Post by: blinkpip on Monday, February 9, 2009, 18:13:54 If your under 22, you get in for £15. Lucky sods.

Sorry, you're right, it was years ago... :-[ The Bristol Parkway change also meant changing at Birmingham then onto Leicester. Didcot was a one change journey, you're right. I remember a long wait at Didcot though (on the way to Swindon).
