I don't know if Frank will read this, but if he does or friends or family were to do so,then i thought it
an appropriate way for the TEF members to pass on our best wishes.Hope you agree.

Top man FB...no not that cunt....he always fancied a crack at the STFC job, but because he left for another job  when assistant it was held against him...he did a decent job at both Cardiff and Swansea.

I suppose about 4 years ago, I was at Soton v WBA in the Prem, just after Megson had been sacked..Frank was doing caretaking duties, Megson did a couple of stints with Frank as his number 2.

Frank was in and out the technical area with his flat cap on berating players, and from a distance it reminded me of Basil Fawlty about to lash his Morris 1100.

When Bobby Smith was sacked, didn't Cecil Green (Chairman) try to lure Frank back to STFC from Pompey?

All I know is that Frank applied a couple of times, but didn't get the job.

Frank used to run up to refs and yell at them from close range, yet he was seldom booked.  How did he get away with it?

He played hard in that red shirt, never gave anything less than 100%, and wasn't really replaced until Shaun Taylor showed up (no disrespect to the Prof., Colin Prophet).

Aizlewood was from the same mould. Frank was a big slab of lad.

Aizlewood was from the same mould. Frank was a big slab of lad.

Shrewsbury away, around about 1977, right from the kick off Aizlewood flattens the home center-forward.  I think he got booked, it would have been a straight red, today.  It took them about five minutes to peel him up off the ground.  It was sheer brutality, the center-forward didn't get a kick after that.  The Town won of course.  Aizlewood was one hard piece of lard about twice as wide as Frank, though.

Great defender.  He replaced the gentleman that was Mel Nurse, a wonderful defender who was a footballing centre half. Totally different in style to Mel but both very good servants for the club
