Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: STFC_Gazza on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, 16:21:20 Butcher will leave if they go down leaving MM in charge. I see MM as the manager in waiting at Caley to be honest.

Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: THE FLASH on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, 17:11:35 In a funny way i am glad he got another job......but if he goes it alone again it will be a disaster!
I agree with Rich - we were the Lab test...... Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: michael on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, 17:22:53 After being sacked he was due to do some scouting work... the first game he was given was Swindon Supermarine vs Eastbourne Borough (22/12/08), but he'd already gone away on his Christmas holiday so couldn't do it.
That is a true story. Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: adje on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, 18:52:50 I liked him

Looks like MM might be staying up this season after all. Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: adje on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, 22:35:50 Fucking good luck to him-he deserves it

And the JT's strengthen their hold on 3rd place and a potential European spot as well with an injury time winner at home to the Mothers! Massive game on the 14th Jan at Fester Road, praying I can watch this somewhere but fucking Man U are playing Liverpool at the same time so I am not too confident. Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: janaage on Thursday, March 5, 2009, 09:01:20 On 14 March you mean? That's not good, will be in Bude so doubt my persuasive powers will stretch to convincing the snooker club owner to put one screen on Hibs. Although the way the Hi-bees are playing at the minute I doubt I'd want to watch it!
Hearts looking good for 3rd now, come into a decent bit of form. Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: THE FLASH on Thursday, March 5, 2009, 09:21:11 On 14 March you mean? Swindon, Hibs & Scotland. Anyone who ever calls me a glory boy (when the rugby team puts in a decent shift for example)couldn't be further from the truth. Yourself? Although the way the Hi-bees are playing at the minute I doubt I'd want to watch it! Hearts looking good for 3rd now, come into a decent bit of form. I actually meant the 14th, Jan. But yes you are right 14th March 12.30 kick off on Setanta. Hibs got a win last night at Jim Hamilton so not all bad. To be honest I don't think Mixu will be there much longer! Hearts are motoring on ok but would like to see a couple of decent strikers signed. At the moment Big Christian Nade is the leading scorer with about 4 or 5 goals! Not good enough to be relying on goals from Midfield all the time! Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: janaage on Thursday, March 5, 2009, 10:13:13 ha ha 14th, Jan! Didn't read it that way at all.
Yeah I think Mixu's time is coming to an end. Think the general opinion is to get someone in without Hibs connections, a fresh approach is needed. Some money would also be nice but the Hibs board are tighter than a duck's behind, as you know. Wondered who'd be the first to post something like that. Terry Butcher's the manager so if you're looking to point fingers at the management team, think you need to start with the widely respected England hero rather than the number 2. Or maybe the players weren't up to it. Just a thought, likeTitle: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: JanAageisGod on Saturday, May 23, 2009, 13:59:55 Widely respected as a player maybe.. He's a pretty hopeless manager isn't he Butcher? I wanted Malpas to work but I think the prospect of relegation which he brought about ended up giving me some schadenfreude today, whether he is a nice bloke or not..

Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: stfctownenda on Saturday, May 23, 2009, 14:32:13 Bit harsh on the comments really Inverness Calley were in bad shape when they came in and they have given it a real go.
They had a steady record under Malpas and Butcher in the 17 games they were in charge they won 6, drew 5 and lost 6. If they had been in the charge for the season they would have stayed up comfortably and probably finished mid table. Time for people to let the grudges go and let Malpas get on with his career. Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: SWINRICH on Saturday, May 23, 2009, 23:24:45 Yeah but still unlucky. Just because he didn't do a good job as manager here, doesn't mean he was'nt a good coach. It was a little too little too late. If he had longer he may have done well. I hold no bitterness. We stayed up and we have Danny Wilson. Maybe some of us should get over that.
Title: Re: Maurice Malpas Post by: THE FLASH on Monday, May 25, 2009, 22:24:33 I dont wish him any hard luck but he was shit here.
