Title: For our resident TEF Gerries Post by: janaage on Thursday, January 15, 2009, 22:58:14 My three favourite german songs. All from years ago, they're hardly musical master pieces, but I liked them (and still do :-[ ), dunno why.

Sorry LS it wasn't on there, although as a pretty decent whistler myself, it is one of my favourite tunes. I was going for german speaking, although on reflection the Mark Oh song is based on When I Child is born, so I s'pose I could have included it! Title: Re: For our resident TEF Gerries Post by: Ardiles on Friday, January 16, 2009, 09:15:54 While visiting an old girlfriend seconded by her company to Hamburg many years ago, I developed quite an attachment to Schlager Music...particularly that of Howard Carpendale. Listen to a few tracks, and you'll understand why Eurovision is taken so seriously on mainland Europe.
I also managed to drag the aforementioned girlfriend to a St Pauli game (German 2nd Division) while I was there. They were playing VFL Bochum - and I can honestly say it was one of the best 0-0 draws I've ever seen. He died tragically young. (Falco, that is, not Mozart.)
(Well, actually Mozart did as well, but that's another story.) Title: Re: For our resident TEF Gerries Post by: Gelbfüßler on Friday, January 16, 2009, 14:37:01 Die Fantastischen Vier 8)

Title: Re: For our resident TEF Gerries Post by: LucienSanchez on Friday, January 16, 2009, 14:41:00 I thought Mozart died years before that?
