Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: tans on Monday, January 12, 2009, 13:11:05 ill have ago, never touched the inside of a computer!
Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, January 12, 2009, 13:12:26 It's easy fella. Just take the side of the case off and unplug the connectors from the back of the drives. Make sure you ground yourself by touching a door handle or something first. And make sure your power supply is switched off/unplugged.

Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: tans on Monday, January 12, 2009, 13:53:03 bollocks.
ive tried your solution, and it still says the driver is missing or coruppt or reconnection and reboot. It even says the driver software is up to date???? Where the fuck can i download my drivers? Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, January 12, 2009, 14:38:58 Manufacturers website. I'm guessing you had XP originally and upgraded to Vista, it would seem that the driver you have is not compatible with Vista. If you can't get one from the manufacturers website then you're pretty much fucked.
Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: magicroundabout on Monday, January 12, 2009, 14:45:30 i wouldn't worry. Widows 7 will be out soon which will be better than vista
Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: sheepshagger on Monday, January 12, 2009, 14:50:29 in fact out now if you fancy being one of the many million beta testers :)
Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, January 12, 2009, 14:52:10 I've been running W7 for a while now magic, it's good put obviously has driver issues at the moment because it's only a dev copy.
The official beta was released two days ago which I'm yet to try because the download speeds have been pitifully slow (<100kbs) and it's a 2.6GB file. Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: magicroundabout on Monday, January 12, 2009, 14:56:03 yeah i spotted that. Microsoft have also removed there 2.5million beta tester limit for two weeks because it proved so popular.

Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: magicroundabout on Monday, January 12, 2009, 15:08:01 Virus?????!!!
Currupt update???? could be a whole host of things with vista Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: tans on Monday, January 12, 2009, 15:15:05 hence why im going back to XP!
Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, January 12, 2009, 15:15:55 Obviously something you've installed since December has knocked out your device drivers for your drive then. It should be a process of elimination by comparing what you installed since the restore date.
Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: Sippo on Monday, January 12, 2009, 15:16:02 See my first post. Virus as you downloaded too much porn.
Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: magicroundabout on Monday, January 12, 2009, 15:17:36 i've not encountered any problems yet with vista. Been pretty smooth.
Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, January 12, 2009, 15:18:58 Are you using a legit copy of Vista, tans?
Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: tans on Monday, January 12, 2009, 15:20:52 yes, i could understand if it was hooky.
i think the only thing i installed was itunes anyhow Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: magicroundabout on Monday, January 12, 2009, 15:24:59 Itunes fucked up my XP x64 version when i installed it.
it also messes with my 3d Mark Vantage in Vista when i instal it too. Hence my Ipod has had the same tunes on for months now!!!! would explain it Title: Re: Computer aids Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, January 12, 2009, 15:26:02 http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1632
